Job Profile

  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify customer needs and provide technical solutions that align with business goals.
  • Design and architect cloud-based solutions, including Compute, Networking, and Storage, tailored to workload requirements.
  • Provide expertise in Network and Security layers, ensuring robust and secure cloud architectures.
  • Understand and integrate regulatory and enterprise security considerations into solution designs.
  • Advise on high availability, failover, and disaster recovery strategies for public and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Assist clients in transforming on-premises solutions into cloud services.
  • Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase cloud and security solutions to prospective clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud services, as well as emerging technologies.
  • Develop and maintain broad knowledge of servers, storage (block and object), and backup solutions.
  • Stay informed on applications and systems from major vendors such as Oracle, Microsoft, SAP, and IBM.
  • Demonstrate strong business and commercial acumen to understand customer value and effectively qualify leads.
  • Support the sales team in developing and closing sales opportunities, including responding to RFPs/RFIs, and creating proposals.
  • Participate in customer meetings and sales calls, providing technical expertise and answering technical questions.
  • Identify and communicate potential sales opportunities and customer needs to the sales team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and providing ongoing technical support.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities, ensuring regular follow-ups and updates to prospects.
  • Manage opportunities from initial lead qualification through to closing, ensuring accurate and timely updates in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth handover and implementation of solutions sold.
  • Analyse and report on sales performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Competencies & Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in presales/technical sales of Cloud and Security services.
  • Proficient in designing cloud architectures incorporating Compute, Networking, and Storage requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Network and Security layers.
  • Familiarity with AWS and Azure cloud services.
  • Experience with high availability, failover, and disaster recovery in public or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Ability to translate regulatory and enterprise security considerations into technical solutions.
  • Experience in migrating on-premises solutions to cloud platforms.
  • Broad understanding of servers, storage, and backup solutions.
  • Familiarity with major applications and systems from Oracle, Microsoft, SAP, IBM, etc.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand and articulate customer value.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud environments.
  • Proven track record of successful presales/technical sales engagements.
