Role Purpose

Digital HealthCare Business Development Sr. Specialist role purpose isto accelerate the growth and adoption of Vodafone Egypt’s digital healthcare solutions by acquiring new clients and expanding strategic relationships across the Egyptian healthcare sector. The role focuses on a comprehensive portfolio—HMIS, HIS, CDS, Telemedicine, Insurance, and Health Information Exchange (HIE)—and leverages Vodafone’s market leadership demonstrated through flagship national projects, including the Universal Health Insurance (UHI) Digitalization Program, University Hospitals Automation, Primary Healthcare Units Automation, and Egypt Air Hospitals Automation. Candidates will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative digital health solutions that are transforming care delivery for millions of Egyptians and advancing the nation’s healthcare digital transformation agenda.

Job Profile

  • Develop and execute end-to-end sales strategies targeting public hospitals, private hospitals, clinics, insurance providers, government health authorities, and pharmaceutical companies in Egypt.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and client engagement through to contract closure and post-sale follow-up.
  • Coordinate with digital healthcare presales, product, delivery, and marketing teams to tailor solutions and ensure successful client onboarding.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, IT departments, clinicians, and procurement teams.
  • Own and manage the sales budget, including forecasting and reporting, to ensure achievement of revenue and growth targets.
  • Proactively maintain and update the pipeline of potential digital healthcare opportunities to ensure a robust and accurate sales forecast.
  • Leverage Vodafone’s existing digital healthcare solutions in ongoing and new deals to position Vodafone as the preferred provider in the Egyptian market.
  • Lead negotiations and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to finalize contractual agreements with new strategic partners.
  • Drive the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation through to deal closure, ensuring alignment with Vodafone’s business objectives.
  • Monitor market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and recommend enhancements to the digital healthcare portfolio.

Competencies and Qualifications

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, technology, or a related field, with 4–7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ direct experience in business development, sales, client relationship management, or healthcare information technology (HCIT) solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in end-to-end sales or business development roles, preferably within digital healthcare or software solutions.    
  • Strong communication, negotiation, consultative selling, and relationship management skills, with fluency in English.   
  • General understanding of IT concepts (such as connectivity and hosting); awareness of software sales processes is an advantage.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, information technology, or a related field; a healthcare degree is highly recommended
  • 4–7 years’ experience in sales, business development, or a similar field, preferably within digital healthcare or healthcare technology.
  • Clinical or IT background is preferred.
  • Commercial experience and awareness of software sales processes are considered strong assets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines and perform well under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
