Role Purpose

The Sustainable Business Sr. Specialist is responsible for the management & execution of the sustainability & ESG strategy working closely with the Sustainability & ESG Sr. Lead. This is a strategic role that will be accountable for enabling and governing all organizational functions to be purpose-driven. In addition, the role will fully manage end to end projects promoting different initiatives and causes amongst the community. Last but not least, this role will also manage the sustainability reporting done on annual basis adhering to the GRI standards in accordance with the ESG framework. 

Who you are

  • Drive and govern the purpose strategy of the company across functions to create measurable impact
  • Raise internal and external awareness on ESG and sustainable business practices
  • Lead the end-to-end development of Vodafone Egypt’s annual Sustainability Report, ensuring alignment with global frameworks.
  • Coordinate local and group-level ESG disclosures, including Vodafone Group ESG submissions,
  • Develop and maintain a compelling internal sustainability narrative, translating technical progress into engaging communications for senior leadership and employees.
  • Own the data collection and validation process, working cross-functionally with internal teams (Finance, HR, Networks, Legal, External Affairs, etc.) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the materiality assessment process, ensuring stakeholder expectations and business impact areas are reflected in reporting.
  • Partner with communication teams to translate reports and insights into external storytelling content and integrated ESG messaging.
  • Monitor global reporting trends and regulatory changes (e.g., CSRD, EFRAG, ISSB) and translate them into actionable reporting strategies for Vodafone Egypt.
  • Prepare executive briefs, presentations, and inputs for external sustainability events, awards, and stakeholder engagement

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:


•    University graduate with a bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Communications, or relevant.
Work Experience
•    3-7 years of experience in sustainable development & public outreach programs and reporting 

Interpersonal Skills
•    Strong skills in strategic planning, analysis, and project management
•    Excellent Command of English & Arabic verbally and in writing
•    Strong Communication and Presentation skills
•    Standalone individual, self-motivated
•    Strong drive to deliver results through self-initiation and persistence 
•    Ability to learn and work in an entrepreneurial and innovative mode
