Software Sol.Accounts&Commercial Sr. Mgr
Role Purpose
This role provides strategic leadership for customer delivery, commercial growth, and departmental performance. It is accountable for shaping long-term plans, strengthening key customer relationships, and ensuring the effective execution of complex programmes through robust demand, resource, and financial management. By aligning market opportunities with organisational capabilities, the role drives sustainable revenue, operational excellence, and the future readiness of the department.
Role Responsibilities
- Strategic Customer Relationship & Commercial Growth:
Provides executive oversight of strategic customer accounts, ensuring delivery excellence, long-term satisfaction, and sustainable revenue growth. Shapes account strategies, resolves escalations, and strengthens partnership value propositions to expand the organisation’s commercial footprint.
Executive Oversight of Programme & Portfolio Delivery:
Owns the end-to-end governance of complex programmes, from initial scoping and financial estimation to resourcing and delivery. Sets delivery
- standards, ensures cross-functional alignment, and provides leadership to programme managers to guarantee timely, high-quality outcomes and adherence to financial and operational KPIs.
- Business Development, Pricing Strategy & Market Positioning:
Leads the identification and evaluation of strategic growth opportunities based on market trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence. Partners with the leadership team to translate opportunities into robust business cases and forecasts. Owns the pricing strategy for products and services, ensuring competitiveness while protecting margin, profitability, and organisational financial health. - Enterprise Demand Management & Resource Strategy:
Acts as the senior point of contact for customer planning and forecasting functions. Ensures alignment between projected demand and organisational capabilities across technology domains. Makes forward-looking decisions on resource allocation, skills deployment, and capacity planning to secure successful programme execution. - Departmental Strategy, Financial Planning & Capability Development:
Owns the long-term strategic plan for the department, including financial planning, workforce strategy, capability development, and technology alignment. Ensures the department has the right structures, skills, and investments in place to meet future business requirements and drive organisational performance
Competencies and Qualifications
- Excellent communicator, with demonstrable negotiation skills, especially with C suite.
- Capable of top performance and networking in multi culture setups.
- Strong analytical skills and pattern realization mindset, with the ability to elicit hidden opportunities from apparently random setups and prepare for them before competitors.
- Firm understanding of the telecom industry, the nature of its software and the ability of how to generalize it.
Deep understanding of the major trends within the commercial Software world
Must have technical / professional qualifications
- BSc of engineering, or related field, MBA preferred.
- 15+ years’ experience in multinational organizations, 10 of which at management positions.
- 5+ years of account management experience in software services and solutions related field, at least 3 of which should be within international setup.
- 3+ Years of project management experience.
- 5+ years of financial planning experience, including direct involvement in budgeting exercises.
- 5+ Years of software related product development experience.
- 5+ years of Business Development experience.
- 5+ years of products / services pricing leading to successful business growth
Deep understanding and evidence of first-hand engagements with the bidding / RFP processes, locally and internationally
