Role Purpose

The Associate Manager – Infrastructure is responsible for leading and managing a multidisciplinary team of Infrastructure Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Network Engineers, Storage Specialists, Backup & Disaster Recovery Consultants, ITSM Consultants, and Infrastructure Architects.
The role oversees the planning, assessment, consulting, architecture, implementation, and delivery of enterprise infrastructure solutions across customer environments. This includes Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, Virtualization, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, Data Center Modernization, Backup & Disaster Recovery, Storage Infrastructure, Network Infrastructure, IT Service Management (ITSM), and Infrastructure Automation solutions.
The Associate Manager acts as both a business and technical leader, ensuring the successful delivery of projects, customer satisfaction, team development, innovation, governance, and financial performance while supporting Vodafone Business growth objectives

Job Profile

Infrastructure services practice leadership

  • Lead and manage the Infrastructure Solutions & Services practice.
  • Establish delivery standards, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Define infrastructure service offerings and delivery frameworks.
  • Drive capability development and technical excellence across the team.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure solution reference architectures.
  • Develop service delivery models aligned with customer requirements.
  • Support strategic growth and expansion of infrastructure services.

Solution Design & Consulting Leadership

  • Oversee infrastructure assessments, consulting engagements, and solution architecture activities.
  • Review and approve infrastructure designs and implementation approaches.
  • Ensure solutions align with customer business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Provide executive-level consulting and advisory services.
  • Lead customer workshops, infrastructure assessments, and roadmap development initiatives.
  • Ensure infrastructure solutions comply with enterprise architecture principles and operational requirements.

    Project Management:
  • Ensure successful delivery of infrastructure projects and programs.
  • Govern project quality, timelines, and scope.
  • Monitor project resource utilization.
  • Review delivery risks and mitigation plans.
  • Support large-scale and strategic customer engagements.
  • Ensure projects meet agreed SLAs and KPIs.

    Stakeholder Management:
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for infrastructure engagements.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with customers.
  • Collaborate with sales, presales, product teams, and partner organizations.
  • Participate in executive steering committees and governance forums.
  • Support bid responses, proposals, and customer presentations.

    Risk Management
  • Identify technical, operational, financial, and delivery risks.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Ensure infrastructure resilience and service continuity.
  • Oversee major incident management and root cause analysis.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity programs.

    Compliance & Auditing
  • Ensure infrastructure services comply with regulatory requirements.
    Ensure alignment with:
    -ISO 27001
    -ISO 20000
    -NIST Framework
    -ITIL Best Practices
    -Business Continuity Standards
    -Data Protection Regulations
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure governance and quality standards are maintained.

Competencies and Qualifications

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • 10 years of experience in infrastructure technologies and enterprise IT environments.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing technical delivery teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale infrastructure transformation programs.
  • Strong consulting and customer engagement experience.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary technical teams.
  • Strong financial and commercial awareness.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working in enterprise and service provider environments.
  • Excellent command of English.

    Must have technical / professional qualifications:
  • Strong Knowledge and Experience with a mix of the following vendors and technologies
  • Virtualization and Cloud Technologies (VMware, Nutanix, Open Stack, Azure, AWS, Red Hat OpenShift)
    o    Storage Technologies (Dell, NetApp, HPE)
    o    Backup and Disaster Recovery (Veeam, Commvault) 
    o    Network Infrastructure (Cisco, Forti, SD-WAN, Network Monitoring)
    o    ITSM Solutions.
    o    Azure, AWS knowledge is a plus.
    o    ITIL Knowledge.
