What you’ll do
As a Senior Credit Controller within our Complex Collections team, you'll support high-value customers and take ownership of resolving complex and aged debt across your portfolio. Working closely with Account Managers, Finance, Billing, Service, and Legal teams, you'll build strong customer relationships, investigate and resolve outstanding issues, and drive timely payment in line with contractual agreements. By taking a proactive, solutions-focused approach, you'll help deliver the best possible outcomes for both our customers and the business while providing an exceptional customer experience throughout.
- You'll manage a portfolio of high-value customers, building strong relationships and ensuring payments are received in line with agreed contractual terms.
- You'll take ownership of complex and aged debt cases, investigating issues, reviewing evidence, and driving disputes through to resolution.
- You'll lead customer discussions and collaborate with colleagues across Legal, Commercial, Finance, Billing, and other business areas to remove barriers to payment and achieve positive outcomes.
- You'll maintain accurate records, providing regular updates, payment forecasts, and resolution timelines to support effective decision-making.
- You'll proactively identify and address challenges, working with customers to understand their needs and resolve outstanding issues efficiently.
- You'll adapt to a variety of customer processes and contractual requirements, including third-party systems and manual payment processes, ensuring a flexible and professional approach at all times.
Who you are
- You bring a credit control background with hands-on experience in debt recovery, cash collection, and dispute resolution, and are confident managing complex customer accounts.
- You're experienced in delivering excellent service to corporate customers, balancing customer needs with commercial outcomes.
- You have strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to review information, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- You communicate confidently at all levels, using your negotiation and influencing skills to resolve issues and achieve positive outcomes.
- You're proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with a range of systems to analyse data, manage accounts, and maintain accurate records.
- You take ownership of your work, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and bring a proactive approach to solving problems and delivering results.
