Location: Newbury / London & *Hybrid 
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri

What You’ll Do

 

To lead and transform Vodafone Business UK’s Pre-Sales function, delivering market-leading, customer-centric solutions that support businesses of all sizes in a digitally connected world. As a dynamic and visionary leader, the Head of Pre-Sales will shape a high-performing team that translates Vodafone’s technology portfolio into compelling business value propositions — enabling customers to thrive in an era of 5G, IoT, Unified Communications, Cloud, and Managed Security.

 

This role will be pivotal in driving Vodafone’s growth in the UK enterprise and public sector market, acting as a bridge between customer needs, sales strategy, and technical delivery.

 

  • Set and drive the strategic vision for the Pre-Sales function, aligning with Vodafone Business UK’s commercial goals.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing virtual team of solution architects, bid managers, and consultants, fostering a culture of agility and purpose.
  • Transform Pre-Sales into a consultative, insight-led capability, enhancing tools, frameworks, and operating models for scalable customer engagement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Technology to co-create differentiated propositions in key growth areas like 5G, IoT, and Cloud.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to strategic customers, translating complex technologies into impactful business outcomes.
  • Ensure operational and bid excellence, improving win rates, governance, and risk management on complex deals.
  • Champion talent development and succession planning, promoting an inclusive, high-performance culture.
  • Stay ahead of market trends and represent Vodafone in industry forums, strengthening relationships with customers and partners.

 

Who You Are

 

The ideal candidate is a seasoned Senior Leader with extensive experience in Pre-Sales and Solution Consulting roles across the telecommunications, ICT, or technology services sectors. They have a proven track record of leading and transforming pre-sales functions in fast-paced, customer-facing environments. With deep expertise in enterprise-grade connectivity, unified communications, IoT, cloud, and cyber security services, they bring strong commercial and financial acumen to support complex, high-value bids. Experience within the UK enterprise and/or public sector markets is highly desirable, along with a history of delivering impactful business transformation and operational excellence.

 

This individual excels in stakeholder engagement and is highly credible at board and executive level, both internally and with external clients. They are an inspiring leader who creates clarity, energy, and purpose, and who leads with integrity. As a transformative change agent, they challenge conventional thinking, embrace innovation, and guide teams through change with empathy. Their customer-centric mindset ensures that solutions are aligned with the evolving needs of UK organisations and deliver tangible, measurable outcomes.
