Role purpose:
To strategically manage global bid responses for VBI APAC. The Bid Manager is responsible for managing the bid cycle for RFP submission (Chinese and English RFP), balancing the customer and sales objectives, with the need to make an adequate return and to manage risk to the business.
What you’ll do
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Accountable for the bid cycle activity of a RFP in the Sales Stage.
- Seen by customer and VGE leadership as strategic advisor to key stakeholders. Produce internal executive bid briefings on RFP.
- Manage senior stakeholders in case of potential or actual escalation (management briefings, presentation, costs analysis, options / recommendations)
- Collaborate with relevant counterparts in Sales, Commercial, Legal, CSSO, and OpCos’ organisations to ensure Bid compliances for each RFP submission.
Who you are
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Building and managing the Bid Plan ensuring that the all activities are completed and that the customer deliverables are made on time;
- Good Pricing Knowledge Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Chnese.
- Demonstrable good knowledge of Microsoft Office application such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and can demonstrate an ability to deliver though others.
- Significant experience of developing and negotiating compelling commercial propositions and/or managing complex telco/outsource contracts.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Commercial Contractual issues affecting global bids and their impact on company.
