Your place in the team
Operation and maintenance of the Vodafone HU’s IP network keep contact with suppliers and TTE, Deployment, Engineering and related Vodafone’s departments. Provide on call service for the IP network. As senior expert suggests solutions and practices make IP network better and better day by day.
 

You will be involved in the following tasks

• IP network operation and maintenance tasks:
  • Operation and maintenance of the IP network devices*, services:
    • Cisco/Huawei/Juniper – MPLS routers, switches,
    • Cisco/CheckPoint – Firewalls,
    • FortiGate -  Proxies, Firewalls,
    • Cisco/Nokia  - IPSec VPN aggregation devices, security gateways
    • F5 load balancer
    • Nokia BNG (Fixed Internet Service aggregation)
    • IBM XML gateway,
    • DNS server management,
    • Administration of the remote access authentication (RSA , Cisco ISE)
  • Continuous 7*24 hours support of IP network devices, services:
    • Availability to work On Call shift during out of normal working hours
    • Incident management and network failure resolution escalated by first line operations or Network Operation Centre.
    • Find root cause of faults and take corrective actions
    • Work in a proactive way to prevent incidents
    • Escalation to the vendor support (L3) and service providers if needed
  • Responsible with the implementation of the change requests in the network
    • Activate new core network functionalities, new applications, and services
    • Execute configuration changes in strong cooperation with network development , deployment teams and change requesters.
  • Ensure documentation, inventory, monitoring and configuration backup of the network devices 
  • Continuously seek opportunities to develop operational efficiency through process improvement and automation.
  • Public and private IP address space administration
  • Prepare downtime and outage notifications and reports

*Note:   Devices’ Vendors might change without any effect on this role profile

• Actively and effectively cooperates with his/her internal (local, regional, global) and external contacts and stakeholders
• Maintain good working relationship with all parties throughout various level of the organization
• Keep all company policies and processes
• Relations with internal and external customers:
  • Building appropriate relations with the key internal customers
  • Building appropriate relations with the key suppliers and service providers
  • Regular communication with key customers and suppliers
     

We are looking for you if you have
•    MSC or BSC degree in Telecommunication, Information Technology or Electrical engineering or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience 
•    Minimum 5 years IP network’s operation experience in telecommunication or enterprise environment  
•    Minimum 3 years of IP network security’s (e.g. firewalls) operation experience 
•    Deep knowledge and understanding of IP networks and protocols, network security
•    Good communication skills
•    Intermediate spoken and written English 
•    Excellent computer skills
•    Advantage:
o    Significant experience of Linux operating system (server administration)
o    Programming experience in any of the following languages/systems: shell scripting, Python , Ansible
o    Vendors’ technical Certifications (e.g. CCNP)
