About this Role

We are seeking an Ethical Hacking Specialist to strengthen Vodafone’s cyber‑resilience by conducting controlled security assessments that mirror real‑world attacker behaviours. This role focuses on designing and executing security tests, identifying vulnerabilities, assessing remediation paths, and collaborating closely with testers, managers and business functions to ensure secure and robust technology environments across the organisation.

What you will do

  • Execute comprehensive security tests using recognised MITRE tactics and techniques to identify weaknesses.
  • Design, plan and implement security testing activities, ensuring alignment with Vodafone standards.
  • Evaluate existing security solutions and provide improvement recommendations.
  • Engage with testers, managers and business stakeholders to define test scopes and coordinate execution.
  • Produce high‑quality technical reports outlining risks, replication steps, exploitation details and remediation guidance.
  • Develop and maintain testing plans and documentation for ongoing engagements.
  • Build scripts, code and automation solutions to support security testing processes.
  • Provide consultancy, retesting support and cross‑team collaboration, including assistance to international teams.
  • Stay updated on new technologies, attack techniques and security methodologies.

Who you are

  • 2–3 years of experience in penetration testing, including experience coordinating or leading teams.
  • Proven involvement in discovering CVEs or achievements in cybersecurity competitions, research or innovation.
  • Certifications such as CPTS, OSEP, OSWE, CWEE, eCPTX or similar.
  • University degree in IT or Cybersecurity (preferred).
  • Applied experience with Windows (client/server), Linux/Unix, VMWare and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Skilled in at least one scripting or programming language (Java, Python, PowerShell, PHP, VB.NET, Assembly, etc.).
  • Strong documentation capabilities.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD automation tools and/or SOAR platforms.
