Why is this role really critical to us? 


Leads the IT architecture team in TR. Accountable for defining TR’s target architecture and the roadmap from current state to the target IT architecture, to enable Vodafone’s IT strategy, while removing the legacy aligned to the business needs, the global standards and the target architecture. 

Define and enforce architecture guidelines, standards and controls, ensuring consistency in application architecture and alignment with Global architectural standards.

For the key transformation projects in TR, lead definition of the architecture blueprint and run the architecture governance to ensure adherence to the golden rules and transition to the target IT platform (ITaap), which is one of the key pillars of Vodafone’s overall strategy to transform into a Technology communications company, by ensuring an open Architecture exposing standard APIs to enable new products, use cases and new business models. This includes critical areas like Digital, Analytics/AI, cloud and API’s. 
 

How will you spend your time at Vodafone? 

•    Lead definition of the target IT TR architecture, define the roadmap for IT applications and formulate and execute the associated transformation plan
•    Lead definition, maintenance and optimization the IT application portfolio – emphasis on application rationalization and simplification of the current IT landscape
•    Identify opportunities to improve performance, availability and stability of IT application through architecture improvements
•    Lead definition of information architecture and ownership
•    Assess technical and architectural complexity
•    Define application integration standards
•    Monitor the architectural model at conceptual, logical and physical levels to verify compliance to global standards
•    Validate technical designs against global architecture standards
•    Advise on roadmap plans for underlying IT products and services
•    Serve as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) in various global initiatives and projects in scope
•    Facilitate re-use from other OpCos of technologies and capabilities
•    Manage key relationships with Global IT to share knowledge and best practise
•    Identify and propose new and innovative architectures and products/platforms to Global architecture for consideration as a new Vodafone standard


You are just the person we ve been looking for, if you have: 

•    5+ years experience within Vodafone at senior technical position or significant external engagement in Architecture for IT companies
•    Experience in major telecommunications BSS / OSS systems, including CRM, Billing, Service Fulfilment and Activation
•    Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate at various levels with internal and external customers
•    Solid understanding of both Business and IT issues (also at Technical level)
•    Solid understanding of the IT Landscape
•    Excellent Communication/Presentation skills
•    Good perception and analytical ability focused on business solutions
•    Good team leadership skills and ability to work in a matrix organization
•    Digital/BSS/OSS expertise at the architecture level
•    TOGAF or other Architecture certifications desired
