What you’ll do
• Designing and executing Vodafone Elektronik Para ve Ödeme Hizmetleri A.Ş./VF Finansman A.Ş./Vodafone Sigorta Aracılık Hizmetleri A.Ş regulatory policy on authorization, compliance, tariffs, consumer protection, data protection & privacy, content etc. to minimize the adverse financial and business impacts of regulations and to maximize the business growth opportunities.
•Advising related business teams to achieve their goals in line with current regulatory framework, contributing business product design processes in order to create innovative and challenging products without any regulatory risks and in line with Vodafone Turkey’s policy objectives.
•Acting as an interface and bridge between regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders before/during/after regulatory audits, investigation processes including defences
•Representing company and creating sustainable/credible relationship at Government Authorities such as TCMB, BDDK, SEDDK and NGO’s etc. to influence decision makers.
•Assessment of compliance standards and business opportunities with relevant authorities and public institutions about the products and services such as direct carrier billing, e-money, digital wallet, virtual pos, invoice payment, financing loan, digital insurance etc.
•Involving sector specific draft regulation process with quantitative policy recommendations to be finalised in favor of company’s policy objectives.
•Ensuring government requests are held on time when required Assessing risks and opportunities in existing regulatory framework, developing risk mitigation actions and creating policy recommendations for opportunity area.
•Following new technologies that would affect regulatory strategy, preparing international benchmarks and conducting whitepapers to support company’s position.
•Working with Vodafone Global External Affairs Teams to form a common position for upcoming regulations in Turkey and to minimise effects of any local regulations to Vodafone Group businesses.
•Acting as a SPOC for TÖDEB.
Who you are
•Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Law, Engineering or Political Science – Master Degree is a plus (MA, MBA)
•5+ years of professional work experience preferably in regulated industries, regulatory bodies or industry NGOs
•A deep understanding of the industry and its drivers, functioning, technology, dynamics and competitive environment
•In depth knowledge of TechFin/Fintech area; Payment Services, Financing loan, Insurance. Additionally data protection and consumer rights laws and regulations, awareness and interest in EU regulations
•Strong economic analysis, influential argumentation and project management skills
•Compliance background
•Ability to deal with multiple stakeholders to solve complex issues internally and externally
•Government and NGO engagement experience is a plus
•Eagerness to be a team player, excellent communications and planning & organization sills
•Passionate about industry and technology
•Excellent written and verbal skills both in Turkish and English
