This is a Deployment Manager role who manages deployment activities for our core network and special platform projects across APAC and Middle East.  

 

The Deployment Manager is responsible for managing day to day field operations and core network projects to ensure reliable, efficient, and compliant delivery of network and infrastructure services. This role supports the development and execution of operational strategies, manages field activities, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, and ensures service continuity through effective planning, execution, 24/7 operational support, network planning and project management.

What you’ll do

Key accountabilities and decision ownership 

 

Operational Management

  • Manage and oversee field operations activities, including installations, maintenance, upgrades, and fault restoration across APAC and Middle East.
  • Provide 24/7 operational and on site support as required to ensure service availability and reliability.  
  • Ensure adherence to operational procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

 

Project Planning & Execution

  • Support the planning and execution of field based projects, working closely with regional deployment and engineering teams.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery within agreed scope and quality standards.
  • Coordinate site readiness, access, logistics, and resources for field activities.

 

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as a key interface between field teams and stakeholders, including Regulatory, Compliance, Partner Management, Finance, Sales, Suppliers and other Network teams.
  • Coordinate with vendors and partners to ensure contractual obligations and service levels are met.
  • Escalate operational issues appropriately and drive resolution across multiple parties. 

 

Performance & Reporting

  • Track operational KPIs, service metrics, and field performance indicators.
  • Prepare and present regular operational reports to management, highlighting risks, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer experience.

 

Network Efficiency Improvement 

  • Lead network enhancement initiatives by implementing optimisation strategies, refining processes, and utilising operational and automation tools to increase reliability, optimise performance, and enhance cost efficiency.
  • Identify inefficiencies in field operations, propose improvement areas, and drive solutions.

Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

 

Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of data center operations and telecommunications networks, including MPLS, Transmission, Internet, Cloud and SD-WAN. 

Project Management: Proven experience in managing network projects, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams in different regions.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds in a global business environment.  

Problem Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to efficiently diagnose operational and network challenges, determine underlying causes, and execute appropriate corrective and preventive measures. Proficient in analysing intricate technical and business requirements and converting them into actionable strategies.

Language Skills: Fluent in English is mandatory.  Fluent in one or more Asian languages is a plus. 

 


Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
Minimum 10 years of experience in field operations, network deployment, or infrastructure operations
