The Business Digital Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Tribe Leader by overseeing the management of resources across Squads and Chapters, while leading transversal initiatives with a strong focus on delivering business outcomes. This role acts as the People Manager for all Tribe resources, with the exception of Product Owners, who report directly to the Tribe Leader. As a senior functional expert, the Business Digital Manager is responsible for managing the performance and development of Squad members, promoting functional excellence, and fostering a culture of innovation. The role ensures alignment with Vodafone’s agile delivery model and contributes to the continuous evolution of digital capabilities. In addition, the Business Digital Manager facilitates knowledge sharing and collaboration across Chapters, within the Tribe, and between Tribes—enhancing cross-functional interactions and driving synergies. This role has a special focus on commercial and e-commerce domains, reporting directly to the Tribe Leader, and is instrumental in shaping and executing the digital strategy that supports Vodafone’s business growth.

What you’ll do

  • Responsible for the business and commercial results across Enterprise Digital Channels;
  • Is permanently aligned with VBU regarding the commercial plan;
  • Is permanently aligned with the Tribe Leader and the Tribe Goals to give chapter members clear guidance regarding priorities;
  • Leads and develops the abilities and skills of the members of the chapter, increasing their productivity in the delivery of value for customers;
  • Facilitates interactions and alignment between the chapters and the Squads;
  • Acts as a mentor and establishes regular feedback sessions with chapter members to follow their PD;
  • Acts as servant leader, rather than line manager, maturing the organization readiness, as opposed to controlling the work, and guaranteeing that chapter members have adequate conditions to work;
  • Defines the professional standards/work methodology in the chapter and Identifies improvement opportunities of the workflows;
  • Promotes innovation and continuous improvement together with scalable and sustainable development within their practice area;
  • Works with the Tribe Lead to provide workforce planning, to include recruitment and development;
  • Work with stakeholders from business areas to define initiatives that maximizes business and commercial outcomes;
  • Track implementation;
  • Monitor results;
  • Identify opportunities to improve KPIs;
  • Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, technical and functional teams.

Who you are

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project or product management, consulting, marketing or similar; Preferably with previous experience as a Product Owner or similar role;
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making;
  • Able to tackle challenges, understand root causes and make informed decisions in order to deliver business impact;
  • Understands agile methodologies (e.g. Kanban, Lean, Scrum, Design Thinking) and applies agile ways of working. Is a role model of the agile mind-set and principles;
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively influence and align cross-functional teams and stakeholders;
  • Highly energetic, with a 'can-do’ attitude and a desire to self-develop;
  • Strong knowledge of ecommerce, online sales processes, and customer journey’s optimization, with focus on driving conversions and sales;
  • Knowledge of Telco industry is a plus;
  • Nice to have: familiarity with Jira, Pega Marketing, React;
  • Proficiency in English and Portuguese.
