The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and continuous improvement of Vodafone's IP network infrastructure supporting critical telecommunications services and enterprise services.This position requires technical expertise in IP networking, network security, operational troubleshooting, incident management, and service assurance within large-scale carrier and enterprise environments.
What you’ll do
- Operate and support Vodafone's IP network infrastructure, ensuring service availability and performance;
- Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents within agreed SLAs;
- Execute network changes, upgrades, and migration activities;
- Perform root cause analysis and drive continuous service improvement;
- Supporting automation and operational efficiency initiatives;
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures;
- Prioritizing technical actions required to restore services during incidents;
- Assess risks and operational impact of network changes;
- Recommend improvements to network performance, resilience, and operational processes;
- Escalate critical service risks and issues when required.
Who you are
- Bachelor or Master's degree on Engineering or Computer Science;
- Knowledge of IP networking technologies, including TCP/IP, Routing & Switching, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, and IPv4/IPv6;
- Hands-on experience configuring Cisco Environments (Cisco ACI, ASA, ISE, among others);
- Experience managing and supporting network security solutions, including Fortinet and Check Point firewalls;
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues across LAN, WAN, Data Centre, and IP transport environments;
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment and manage priorities under pressure;
- Automation & Scripting Tools developing experience is a plus;
- English and Portuguese language (spoken and written).
