What you’ll do

The purpose of this role is to plan and design the best IP/MPLS transport network for all Vodafone services 

Key accountabilities:

  • Plan and design IP/MPLS networks for high-capacity transport, ensuring optimal performance and security 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define network requirements and develop effective solutions including, but not limited to, mobile/fixed network aggregation, business services and internet routing 
  • Conduct network assessments and capacity planning to accommodate future growth and technology advancements - develop and manage deployment plans 
  • Stay updated with the latest networking technologies, protocols, and trends to provide proactive solutions 

Who you are

  • Engineering degree (BSc/MSc) in Telecommunications, Computer Science or a related field 
  • Mandatory spoken/written fluency in English 
  • Cisco/Nokia certifications not mandatory but will be valued 
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IP network engineering, specifically with IP/MPLS networks. 
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Cisco and Nokia networking equipment. Focus on high-end platforms is preferred 
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, including ISIS, BGP, MPLS, QoS, MPLS/SR-TE, L2VPN/EVPN 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. 
  • Experience collaborating in/with multi-country teams
