What you’ll do
We are searching for an IT Architect who will contribute to the solutions architecture in several BSS domains as well as review and approve projects’ high-level designs in line with defined Target Architecture and guidelines for the Domain. In this role it is also expected to exploit new technologies and assess their usage within projects.
Main Accountabilities:
- To work in close alignment with the Client Business Areas, Portfolio Management, and Group Architecture to understand the existing challenges and constraints, and adapt and promote existing Vodafone Group recommendations, guidelines and target architectures;
- To evaluate new initiatives and provide Architectural Guidance;
- To maintain Domains As-Is and To-Be Architecture and ensure updated architecture documentation;
- To define and maintain a roadmap for the IT Domains;
- To support IT delivery of projects in the different Domains, defining the IT target Architecture;
- To liaise with the IT Operations team to understand existing constraints and suggest corrective measures;
- To influence application design and development to Cloud and Agile environment/paradigms;
- Screen the most valuable / promising technologies, incubate and experiment selected technologies to learn and expand their adoption throughout the organization.
Who you are
- Academic education completed in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science or Telecommunications;
- Previous experience in an Architecture role;
- Knowledge of IT telecommunications architecture, applications and systems;
- Knowledge of SOA architecture;
- Knowledge of modern application architecture patterns and architectures;
- Knowledge on the main cloud service offerings (AWS, GCP, Azure);
- Experience in Waterfall and/or Agile paradigms;
- Good communication and presentation skills (interacts with technical and business audiences);
- Sense of proactivity and dynamism;
- Good analytic and critical thinking;
- SAFe or TOGAF certification is a plus;
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and RM-CA is a plus
- Fluency in Portuguese and English.
