As a Location Independent Worker, for operational reasons you may be required to perform your duties, either temporarily or permanently, from any of our offices or customer sites within a reasonable geographic area of your home address. Join our Vodafone Business Technology Solutions team, where we support businesses of all sizes with world-class technology solutions. We design and develop our Fixed Line solutions, drive efficiency through automation and AI, and implement it all directly with our customers.
What you’ll do
The Value Realisation and Portfolio Manager sits within Technology Excellence and is responsible for providing control, governance, and transparency across the VBTS change and improvement portfolio. The role ensures that delivery is prioritised effectively, sequenced correctly, and delivers measurable business value.
- Acting as the control tower for transformation activity, the role enables data-driven decision-making by providing clear visibility of progress, risks, dependencies, and value realisation across all initiatives.
- Own and evolve the VBTS portfolio governance, prioritisation framework, financial performance and benefit management
- Manage sequencing and phasing of initiatives to optimise delivery and capacity
- Provide clear, consistent portfolio-level reporting for senior stakeholders including finances, benefit realisation and KPI performance.
- Track benefits realisation and ensure value transparency across all initiatives
- Provide visibility of delivery risks, dependencies, progress, and constraints
- Enable data-driven decision-making through accurate and timely insight
- Establish and embed consistent governance, standards, and ways of working across programmes
- Challenge and support programme owners to ensure alignment to priorities and value outcomes
- Maintain an integrated view of all change activity across VBTS to avoid duplication and conflict
- Support leadership forums with clear insight to enable prioritisation and trade-off decisions
Who you are
- Proven experience in portfolio management, PMO, or transformation governance roles
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks, reporting, and delivery management disciplines
- Experience managing complex portfolios with multiple interdependent initiatives
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and support decision-making
- Experience tracking benefits realisation and ensuring value-driven delivery and financial knowledge
- Ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrix organisation
- Knowledge of programme and project management methodologies (e.g. MSP, PRINCE2) desirable
