What you’ll do

You will lead a team of Commercial Managers to scope, scale (case) and roadmap these new opportunities. The work will be wide spread and lead to business impacting decision making and P&L performance, and so requires the team to be efficient, driven, and fully involved in the mobile market landscape and their stakeholders. The team will mainly spread over this categorisation.

 

  • Managed a team to define the proposition and commercial strategy for the biggest propositions across the mobile portfolio - including defining the customer insights and market opportunities, scoping proposition initiatives and how this fits into the overall mobile strategy, working closely with the Product Owners and Proposition Managers
  • Specific ownership for defining and qualifying business case assumptions then guiding the finance decision support teams through business case creation and senior stakeholder signoff
  • Ownership of sizing and prioritisation of contenders for Capex funding. Ensuring all opportunities are effectively sized to drive the best ROI. 
  • Proactively share best practice and insights from the market, leverage relationships with other markets to bring the best ideas back into the UK.
  • Ensure that proposition roadmap is aligned with our budget and forecasts, that KPIs are clearly identified and trackable
  • Proactively keep abreast of latest of proposition and commercial trading performance, and customer behaviours to provide stimulus for future proposition development.
  • Continuously challenge Consumer to think about long term strategic decision making and not just short term fixes

 

Who you are
 

  • Strong commercial acumen & experience managing and implementing commercial change across the business
  • Commercial business case / strategic business casing experience either first hand or in support of finance colleagues
  • Experience evaluating market performance and tracking competitor developments
  • Proven track record in consumer commercial / proposition or product development
  • P&L management, forecasting and delivery
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
