What you’ll do
The Creative Lead role is accountable for the creative leadership of Vodafone Brand in-house Creative Studio.
This team member will be responsible creatively for leading one of the most loved and admired brands in the Telco space. This role balances people leadership with project oversight; ensuring our designers, copywriters and videographers are empowered to do their best work while delivering high-quality, on-brief creative that meets business needs and ontime.
The creative lead will creatively lead a team of 6 individuals (dotted), including 2x Senior Graphic Designers and 1x Senior Video Editor, one art director / sr copywriter, copy writer and 1x video editors who are responsible for the end to end creation of design, copywriting, digital and multimedia content for the Vodafone brand. The Creative lead will need to be a strategic thinker and lead the creative strategy as well as deisgn.
The in-house creative team is also responsible for cost savings to Vodafone by providing an alternative to external agency supplier to all areas. The Creative Lead is required to creatively lead a team of highly creative and passionate individuals throughout the full creative process, from receiving briefs, concept development to design and production supervision. The required output is compelling, creative solutions to briefs at an agency quality level.
The role requires great organisational skills to manage a large volume of work through the team whilst acting as a brand champion within the organisation to ensure all communications are on brand and cut through. Also sustains the ongoing learning and training of all team members on the required skills needed for creative production.
Another key requirement of the role is exceptional communication and relationship-building skills in order to effectively work with the different teams and stakeholder requirements and operate within all levels of the organisation and collaboratively with external agencies.
- Creative Leadership of the Creative inhouse Studio (strategic thinker and lead the creative strategy as well as design)
- Oversee the day-to-day creative operations of the creative studio, including project resourcing, creativity and delivery
- Campaign Management and delivery - Accountable for end to end internal creative process and integration of assets across all communication channels
- Act as the key liaison between the studio leadership team, project manager and creative team ensuring timely delivery of the projects
- Creation of compelling communications which deliveres the desired impact
- Develop and sustain in house studio facility - Ensure appropriate facilities are available, managed and maintained to support service delivery
- Support and mentor the creative team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture
Who you are
- Minimum 6 years professional experience in a design or agency environment or inhouse
- Proven experience managing creative teams and workflows in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and project prioritisation skills
- A sharp eye for creative quality, with the ability to guide and elevate output
- Passionate Brand professional with a proven track record of producing outstanding creative
- Creative, Design or Multimedia qualifications
- Proven track record creative design
- Desired experience within consumer electronics, IoT, smart home or new technology
- Fluency in current graphic design practices, digital production and multimedia software such as Adobe Cloud suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign / Video Editing and Motion Graphics: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition / Web
- Development: Dreamweaver. PDF and Document Tools: Acrobat Pro / Other Apps: Lightroom, Lightroom Classic,
- Animate, Firefly, and Adobe Express and workfront etc.. )
- Management of the internal studio facility and all necessary resources including hardware upgrades, software licenses etc.
- Management and archive of all of assets
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint
