What you’ll do

Support the commercial shared operations transformation for Group Networks, driving the financial aspects of it, to enable consistent, integrated and future- proofed approach for Group Network services.
Ensure an efficient, effective and quality work on the costs mapping and allocation to services, integration of asset-level financials, and development of end-state financial models within a vertically structured network organisation.

  • Cost Mapping and Modelling: develop detailed models to map costs to network services and products, handle cost allocation complexities, link depreciation and fixed asset register, and define costing logic
  • Services and Financials Alignment: support validation of the service catalogue and quantity metrics, ensure alignment between financial models and operational metrics, work with the Networks team to link demand forecasting and quantity metrics to financial models.
  • Parallel Running & Adjustments: Support parallel running by providing actuals and relevant data for adjustments, ensuring accurate recording of actuals during the transformation phase.
  • Master Data and Reporting Structures: Define master data, SAP, and WBS structures to support tracking and reporting, and assist in the design of end-state reporting structures
  • Work closely with the Network team embedding network finance requirements into the design of tools for demand management and effort tracking. Ensure these tools reflect the financial and commercial goals of the new operating model and are aligned with all other financial systems.
  • Collaborate with the Network team to design an effort tracking model that links with commercial KPIs and financial needs and objectives. 
  • Ensure the tools provide data that is accurately aligned with other financial and data sources.

Who you are

  • Strong knowledge in technology/network finance, including cost modelling, depreciation, asset management, and understanding network cost drivers and their influence on financial outputs across services and infrastructure.
  • A strong understanding of complex operating models, such as verticalised ones spanning several legal entities and geographies, is essential. This also includes understanding SAP/WBS/asset structures and master data management.
  • Ability to integrate network demand forecasts and performance metrics into financial models and. commercially focused mindset with a clear understanding of the link between demand, volume, and network cost
  • Understanding of network data and its impact on financial decision-making
  • High-level understanding of tax and intercompany implications
  • Strong knowledge of technology finance
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Strong prioritisation skills
  • Lives the Vodafone Spirit, ensures balance between ‘how’ as well as ‘what’ 
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience in SAP / BI
