What you’ll do
The Personal Assistant to the Group Deputy CFO provides high-calibre executive support, enabling effective prioritisation, smooth day-to-day operations and strong organisational discipline. The role is responsible for proactive diary, inbox, meeting and travel management, expenses and general administration, while also delivering high-quality coordination, governance and communications support. In addition, the role plays a key part in supporting the wider Group Strategic Finance & Performance Team through action tracking, briefing preparation, event coordination and special projects.
The Personal Assistant to the Group Deputy CFO must be ambitious and proactive with great organisation and time management skills. They will need to be confident at liaising with different levels of seniority and have the abilities to create good stakeholder relationships through strong management and confidentiality.
Executive Support

Manage the Director’s diary, ensuring effective prioritisation and readiness for all engagements.

Coordinate travel, logistics and key documentation.

Prepare high-quality meeting materials, briefings and follow-ups aligned to business priorities.

Act as a key point of contact, ensuring clear and timely communication across stakeholders.

Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and support network.Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgement when handling sensitive information.
Personal Assistant Responsibilities

Manage the Director’s inbox and workflow, prioritising effectively and driving efficiency.

Coordinate key leadership routines and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Track and follow up on key actions, decisions and deliverables.

Attend key meetings, capture actions and ensure accountability across stakeholders.

Maintain accurate organisational information, including team structures and calendars.

Support onboarding and integration of new team members.
Communications & Engagement:
- Lead, design and deliver internal communications across the team, ensuring clarity, consistency and alignment with business messaging.
- Plan and deliver high-quality team events, offsites, all-hands meetings, workshops and charity days.
- Monitor team sentiment and engagement, proposing ideas and initiatives to strengthen collaboration and culture.
- Coordinate Sprint activities and support delivery of engagement commitments across the team.
Governance & Team Coordination
- Support team governance including cycles, approvals, leadership routines and operational processes.
- Maintain distribution lists, team documentation and governance tools.
- Coordinate Group Strategic Finance & Performance Team activities including agendas, minutes, actions and communications.
Special Projects
- Lead and deliver special projects for the Group Deputy CFO, ensuring clear planning, stakeholder alignment and on-time delivery.
- Collaborate across functions and workstreams to drive project outcomes and support change initiatives.
- Track risks, milestones, KPIs and progress updates, providing concise reporting and recommendations.
Who you are
- Core Competencies, Knowledge and Experience:
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of adapting content for senior audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across levels and functions.
- Proactive problem-solver with strong judgement and the ability to anticipate needs.
- Creative thinker with a positive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, complex, matrix environment.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Proven experience supporting senior leaders or executives.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and SharePoint.
- Experience in internal communications, event coordination or project support is beneficial.
