Role Purpose

As a key growth pillar at the heart of our Commercial strategy at Vodafone Group, Travelsim is breaking new ground with innovative offers and cutting-edge technologies like eSIM. As a Product Designer, you will be at the forefront of this thrilling journey, working on a range of design projects that deliver highly compelling, customer-centric solutions for the business. You will collaborate closely with the Travel eSIM Product Managers to develop design outcomes that balance commercial and customer needs, translating briefs into highly effective, production-ready solutions.

The Travel eSIM is a design-led proposition, and your role will be pivotal in leading diverse stakeholders through all stages of the product lifecycle. From desk research activities and discovery workshops to UX/UI/Interaction design, you will support Product and Technology teams in bringing design solutions to market.

In this role, you will deliver comprehensive design projects, creating end-to-end design solutions for your product area. You will mentor and support junior design staff, contribute to design initiatives beyond your product squad, and help evolve our design language, aesthetic, and interaction paradigms. You will play an active role in championing our design ethos, providing expert guidance to both junior and non-design staff.

Your responsibilities will also include conducting market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape. You will work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing product success. Ensuring that our product strategy and development processes are customer-centric, you will address customer pain points and enhance user experience. Staying ahead of travel industry trends, you will continuously evaluate new technologies and methodologies to enhance our product offerings.

What you’ll do

  • Design Expertise: A compelling portfolio showcasing numerous design projects that highlight your thinking, contributions, actions, and outcomes. Proven success in leading design efforts for iOS, Android, and Web-based products. Experience with customer-centric design processes, utilizing UXR insights to enhance design outcomes. Proficiency in Agile, Lean, and Sprint-based processes. Excellent technical skills with Figma and Adobe Cloud (AE, AI, PS).
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of making data-driven decisions. Ability to conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and present strategies to C-Level audiences. Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships. Experience working closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing product success.
  • Innovation and Customer Focus: A strong focus on customer-centric product strategy and development processes, addressing customer pain points and enhancing user experience. Ability to stay ahead of travel industry trends and continuously evaluate new technologies and methodologies to enhance product offerings.
  • Professional Qualifications: At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in product design. A university degree or equivalent industry experience in Graphic Design, UX/UI design.
