What you’ll do
As a Programme Manager within Vodafone UK’s Programme Management Centre of Excellence (PM CoE), the successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of their assigned scope of work to time, cost and quality. They will develop and lead epics, projects or programmes which drive the organisation’s strategic direction through the delivery of agreed business outcomes.
The Programme Manager is accountable for ensuring high cross-functional stakeholder satisfaction by making communication easy and transparent, while supporting issue resolution and decision making. They will independently mobilise epics, projects or programmes, including requirements definition, capital drawdown and Technical / Functional Expert resource allocation.
The Programme Manager will be an active member of the transformation community within the Centre of Excellence, supporting the Senior Manager – Programme Management CoE to embed best practice and ensure consistent ways of working are implemented across delivery execution; maximising lessons learnt and creating a culture of continuous improvement. They will identify and share challenges to delivery, supporting the community in seeking their resolution. Key accountabilities include:
- Provide the transformation and operational leadership required to mobilise and deliver business critical transformation projects and programmes.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of assigned epics, projects or programmes to time, cost and quality. Accountable for:
- Delivering the agreed business outcome.
- Following the processes defined by the EPMO.
- Providing timely, clear and transparent visibility of progress.
- Ensuring high cross-functional stakeholder satisfaction.
- Driving mobilisation, including requirements definition, governance, capital drawdown and Technical/ Functional Expert resource allocation.
- Ensuring that the appropriate structures are implemented to enable the ongoing effective execution of the delivery: design & requirements, solution development, test, solution launch, assurance & oversight, financial tracking, delivery and resource planning, as well as the management of change, risk & issues and dependencies.
- Working with stakeholders across the delivery to ensure they have the support required to deliver to time, cost and quality.
Who you are
- An established Programme or Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering business transformation based programmes/projects.
- Subject Matter Expert: Project & Programme Management (waterfall & agile) in a complex business transformation change environment.
- The credibility necessary to lead and successfully deliver large, complex, projects and programmes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence and operate at the senior management level.
- High level of energy and flexibility to get things done and thrive in a fast-paced, agile, team-oriented environment.
- Telecommunications industry, or equivalent corporate, experience.
- Relevant Project & Programme Management qualifications are desirable.
