What you’ll do
Role purpose: Be part of a mission of a new generation of seamless connectivity and build industry regulatory advisory for cross-border networks and services.
Provide independent, expert regulatory advice on mobile telecom regulation including end-user level, own defined regulatory workstreams within External Affairs while reporting to the Senior Regulatory Affairs Lead for priorities, escalation and final positioning.
- Own end-user level mobile telecom regulatory analysis for assigned products, services and markets, including obligations that affect customers, users, numbering, access, consumer protection, resilience and service launch readiness.
- Lead regulatory assessments for new or changed mobile connectivity propositions, translating legal and regulatory requirements into clear business actions and practical implementation guidance.
- Manage assigned engagement with internal stakeholders and, where agreed, external regulatory contacts; prepare clear briefings, submissions, position papers and decision recommendations.
- Identify, assess and escalate material regulatory risks early, including cross-border and multi-market issues; propose realistic mitigation options and track follow-through.
- Maintain a high-quality regulatory knowledge base for mobile telecom rules and policy developments relevant to External Affairs, Vodafone Business and platform activities.
- Ownership and responsibility for compliance.
Who you are
- Strong expertise in mobile telecom regulation at end-user level, with sound understanding of how regulation applies to customer-facing connectivity services.
- Able to work independently and exercise judgement on complex regulatory questions, while escalating strategic, high-risk or precedent-setting matters to the Senior Regulatory Affairs Lead and the team.
- Excellent written communication: clear, concise, evidence-based drafting for senior stakeholders, legal teams, commercial teams and regulators.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across legal, product, technology, commercial and external affairs teams.
- Practical, delivery-focused mindset: able to turn regulatory analysis into decisions, implementation requirements and risk-based recommendations.
