Location: London Speechmark Office + *Hybrid
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri

What you’ll do 

As a senior software engineer at Vodafone your primary responsibility is to develop and support our front end web applications: ensuring that they are operational, performant and of the highest quality. As a technical leader you will have ability to help shape the development approach and provide technical assurance on complex projects

 

 

  • You will support timely delivery of technical solutions with exemplary written, well tested code.
  • You will advocate and advance modern, agile software development practices and help develop and evangelise great engineering and organisational practices.
  • You will grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with the company values.
  • You will be an active part of the engineering community team and collaborate with other technical leads.
  • You will be proposing and quantifying the importance of technical debt to senior management.

Who you are 

  • You will have strong JavaScript experience including asynchronous programming, pec closures, types, and ES6.
  • You will preferably have commercial experience with React and Node.js.
  • You will be able to demonstrate some experience with RESTful APIs and JSON.
  • You will showcase knowledge of responsive web design.
  • You will preferably have experience with Git or other source control systems.
