What you’ll do
The role of the Senior Product Manager Broadband Smart Services involves creating and implementing the strategy of innovative broadband services in Home portfolio. In this role, you’ll be owning the end-to-end P&L and product lifecycle for our solutions, researching for new technologies to enhance our broadband product & propositions in order to meet the evolving needs of broadband customers. You’ll be responsible for development and growth of multiple products including but not only limited to:
Smart WiFi Back-up: an innovative new solution designed to ensure seamless service connectivity during interruptions within seconds, without the need for an additional hardware.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, scalable, and customer-centric broadband solutions that drive commercial success and enhance customer experience.
Key Accountabilities:
• Define and execute the global broadband services product strategy, aligning with Vodafone’s strategic goals and business LRP
• Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle: ideation, development, launch, and in-life optimisation.
• Own the roadmap for our Smart Broadband Services, ensuring it delivers differentiated value and resilience for customers.
• Collaborate with local markets to tailor propositions and ensure successful adoption.
• Planning and setting budgets/investments to align with the portfolio vision and strategy.
• Creation of ExCo business-cases required for the associated portfolio investments.
• Partner with technology and delivery teams to ensure timely and high-quality product development.
• Monitor market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to inform product innovation.
Who you are
• Operates at a higher vision and strategy level for an overarching group of products. Needs to align customer requirements and potentially consider segment level variations. Should consider broader customer thinking and requirements at a global and local level
• Strong understanding of WiFi technologies, backup systems, and customer resilience solutions.
• Ability to operate at the highest level within Vodafone to determine strategy plan and investments, interfacing with senior leaders across Group and OpCo’s but also externally with big tech players and partners, coaching and mentoring cross-functional multinational teams.
• Focused on definition of commercial strategy across a portfolio of related products. Typically owns the investment portfolio and business outcomes, which requires ability to manage associated P&Ls.
• Excellent knowledge across multiple products within a portfolio. Greater emphasis on cross-portfolio solutions and product linkages.
• A combination of strong commercial, business acumen and technical knowledge from a product standpoint, with the ability to bridge any gaps between the two.
• Ability to build regular innovation increments into existing portfolio solving direct customer needs.
• Enables the global vision locally, through alignment of the global roadmap strategy to the local business priorities.
• Excellent ability to influence and navigate in a highly complex environment, whilst maintaining entrepreneurialism and delivering strong leadership to the teams
• Experience of broadband products, ideally gained within both fast-moving entrepreneurial environments and larger corporate environments
• Understanding of agile methodologies, particularly with a view of product and SAFe
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with high credibility/presence and instant positive impact
