What you’ll do

This role sits within Vodafone UK’s Connected Home & Innovation Product (CHIP) team, who evaluate, build, deliver, and manage in life market leading, profitable products & services which deliver great customer experiences. We have end to end responsibility for all hardware and software products in Vodafone UK. Fixed CPE devices, Secure Net, Super Wi-Fi, Fixed broadband solutions and the new Battery Backup Unit (BBU) are among the services we offer.  


The role of the Technical Product Manager is a highly cross functional role within the UK and Group.  Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. We not only manage 1.65M in-life Consumer CPE devices and firmware for 1.2M customers but this role also offers the rare opportunity to be an integral part of our Product team that spearheads the next level of Home Connectivity. Help us ideate, innovate and introduce cutting edge Fixed and Connected devices to Vodafone customer homes.


This is a vital role. You will be responsible and accountable for the overall product effectiveness and assurance, primarily for HBB products, but also others, striving for exceptional levels of quality and reliability of our fixed and connected devices in the UK. You will lead device implementation, coordinate testing and assurance of fixed, WiFi and AI based devices, HW/SW, E2E functionality.  
 

Who you are
 

  • Strong understanding of Fixed Broadband in the UK combined IT/Digital integration and business analyst background in the fields of telecoms services and products.
  • Experience in consumer telco product/service IT integration. 
  • Digital or IT experience in development and delivery of fixed broadband relevant devices - routers, WiFi and home broadband services, E2E HLD and design analysis, API integration. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; experienced in building strong and trusting relationships with both external partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in a project / programme management role.
  • Ability to manage priorities in fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of CPE/Device testing including various test phases and able to co-ordinate various teams to achieve goal under strict timelines.
  • Proficiency in running trials focused on technical aspects of CPE, including creating trial questionnaires, managing trial operations end to end, and reporting upwards to senior stakeholders.
  • Desirably skilled in KPIs, data, database and analysis.
