What you’ll do

 


We're recruiting for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Consumer Finance team at Vodafone UK. 

 

 

Within this role, you will be involved in launching new and exciting products, driving UK Full fibre adoption and optimising business profitability. This involves month end reporting activities particularly on Direct Costs worth ~£300m per annum, tracking FTTP performance and convergence KPIs, providing clear and insightful analyses on trading performance, underlying trends and risks & opportunities.

 

 


Wider responsibilities will also include:

 

 

 

  • Financial Planning: In charge of monitoring and updating the Home Broadband rolling forecasting model and collate all key inputs from commercial team required for Group budget & LRP submission (including customer numbers, ARPU, direct cost assumptions, A&R commissions).
  • Customer Profitability & IBRO: Commercial Finance SPOC on two major reporting projects that are integral to the continued success of Consumer Fixed, underpinning the future of our ability to effectively manage value in our base. 
  • Unit Economic Management:  Supporting Commercial Finance Manager with the monthly preparation and budgetary preparation of our monthly unit economics that drive decision making on promotional and pricing initiatives across the Fixed business. 
  • FTTP Performance Reporting:  This role is responsible for the creation of a monthly performance report on our FTTP business providing useful relevant and insightful updates on a product which underpins the Consumer Fixed LRP, including, homes passed, sales penetrations, ARPU, marketing plans and complex contractual minimum volume commitments. 
  • Direct Costs Verification & Analysis: This role is responsible for providing detailed analysis across our Direct Costs worth ~£300m per annum, providing detailed analysis of each direct cost P&L line, understanding the definition, source, drivers and accounting treatment. 
  • Month End Support:  This role will own the creation of all month end reporting KPIs packs, providing updates on P&L performance including Opex & Capex. 

 

 

Who you are  

 

 

 

  • Aptitude for building relationships and influencing all levels of seniority across functions.
  • Demonstrable Commercial Finance experience. 
  • Fully or part-qualified preferred (CIMA, ACA, ACMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Good working knowledge of the MS Office suite required, and SQL would be desirable. 
  • Professional presentation & communication skills, with and ability to interpret and explain complex information.
  • Resilient and delivery-focused, with competence in prioritising multiple stakeholder-demands.
