As a Location Independent Worker, for operational reasons you may be required to perform your duties, either temporarily or permanently, from any of Vodafone’s UK offices or customer sites within a reasonable geographic area of your home address. Our “Office in a Box” home working kit will provide you with everything you need, no matter where you are. For this role, we anticipate the role holder will spend 1-2 days per week out at customer meetings with some travel to our office sites for internal and team meetings. Travel is likely to be to locations in London and the South East region but could be UK wide.

What you’ll do
The Senior Sales Manager, Private Sector is accountable for P&L in the large national and international corporate segment. The role holder is responsible for setting the strategy, defining the priorities, and achieving the sales targets including revenue, new business and customer satisfaction. They will personally develop and drive deeper customer relationships across the priority accounts. Key accountabilities include:
- Inspiring a matrixed organisation across Sales, Marketing, Commercial, Product, Technology, Delivery, Operations and Service to deliver what is right for our customers
- Working with the wider business (Marketing, Commercial, Finance, CVM) in implementing strategies across Sales, Service and Customer Experience across their given industry vertical. Successfully maximising new growth opportunities in existing customers.
- Taking a global approach with the reach and breadth of Vodafone’s global services in our UK headquartered accounts.
- Delivering growth for strategic services in target markets to include fixed, mobile, hosting, IoT, Unified Communications, SD WAN & Security, driving revenue and margin improvement whilst increasing market share
- Championing business development activities and growing sector expertise within target vertical
- Able to demonstrate best in class engagement with customer C-suite; fostering strategic partnerships with customers and key partners which differentiates
- Vodafone from competitors and lays the foundations for long-term success; representing customers back into Vodafone
- Leading the Vodafone brand story consistently across the segment whilst tailoring according to specific industry verticals
- Succession planning and implementing business continuity and contingency plans to mitigate internal/external business risk including impact revenue, cost, margin, churn and rNPS
- Championing the Vodafone Spirit and employee experience to attract and retain the best talent
- Personal involvement and coaching to win and retain large and/or complex accounts as well as to develop and maintain strategic customer relationships
Who you are
- Deep understanding of mobile, fixed voice, data, Unified Communications, SD WAN, Cloud & Hosting, security and IoT propositions
- Experience leading sales organisations and sales managers, preferably in a technology environment/B2B for large national and international customers.
- Results driven leadership with a record of sales productivity improvements
- Builds capacity through growing talent & skills, creating high performing diverse teams and a lean & effective organisation to ensure sustainable success for future Vodafone needs
- Experience of developing and driving commercial sales strategies and adapting to macro/micro economic conditions achieving significant business growth
- Operating at a senior level within businesses to drive C-level national and multi-national relationships, increasing Vodafone’s visibility.
- Able to translate customer insight into deliverable CX improvements Establish and maintain global interlocks to deploy vertical sales strategies consistently in an account across all markets in which it operates
