What you’ll do
Vodafone is undertaking a major transformation of its global logistics operations, focusing on digitisation, centralisation, and sustainability. The Global Asset Recovery Manager will play a critical role in end-to-end asset lifecycle management by maximising environmental value and compliancy while minimize cash leakage through the development of standardised recycling processes, compliance frameworks, and transparent reporting models.
This role will become part of the global logistics transformation program, supporting strategic initiatives such as the implementation of a centralised recycling governance model, creation of transparency in material flows, and efficiency improvements across all recycling streams. The position will work closely with the Global Reverse Logistics Lead, markets, and vendors to establish a scalable, compliant, and sustainable recycling model within Vodafone’s circular economy ambitions.
Key objectives include ensuring full compliance with environmental regulations and Vodafone sustainability standards, driving operational efficiency, and providing clear visibility of recycling performance and impact. The role will coordinate across multiple markets and functions—including Supply Chain, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and Tax—to ensure successful delivery of recycling activities, adherence to circularity principles, and contribution to Vodafone’s zero-waste and carbon reduction commitments.
Global Asset Lifecycle Manager - Reverse Logistics:
• Supports the creation and implementation of Vodafone’s global recycling strategy within the asset lifecycle framework, ensuring alignment with circular economy principles and sustainability targets.
• Engages in multiple recycling initiatives in parallel, driving consistent execution and compliance across markets and suppliers.
• Builds and manages a global supplier network for recycling and material recovery, ensuring adherence to environmental and operational standards.
• Leads governance and compliance activities, as well as commercial tasks including tenderization, SLAs
• Ensures partner compliance with Vodafone sustainability, security, and operational standards.
• Owns the process, establishes and maintains dashboards and reporting tools for value recovery and recycling performance.
• Establish and maintain governance and compliance frameworks for recycling activities across markets and suppliers.
• Drives efficiency through improved use of commercial, operational, and reporting tools.
• Coordinate execution of recycling initiatives across markets, hubs, and suppliers, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
• Supports the creation of value recovery governance, communication standards, and market engagement models.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and material recovery through innovative recycling partnerships
Who you are
• Strong understanding of reverse logistics, recycling operations, waste management regulations, and circular economy principles
• Experience in compliance management, sustainability reporting, and supplier governance.
• Ability to manage multi-stakeholder projects and simplify complex compliance topics for senior leadership.
• Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and managing cross-market initiatives.
• Comfortable engaging with senior leaders with confidence and clarity.
• Able to work independently, quickly understand core issues, and drive actions to resolution.
• Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills, including advanced Excel, SAP (NSS) and PowerPoint.
• Practical knowledge of reverse logistics processes e.g. (reuse/repair/recycle/value recovery), local market experience.
• Experience with supplier management, procurement processes, or sustainability audits is a plus
