What you’ll do
Join Vodafone on an exciting journey to revolutionize carrier buying on a global scale. We are seeking a dynamic leader to deliver substantial savings and spearhead ongoing cost management within our multibillion-euro spend portfolio. As part of our energetic team, you'll drive the execution of Vodafone’s global strategy for acquiring and procuring leased lines, fixed line access, and wholesale line rental. You’ll build close, valuable relationships with both Group and local partners, create efficiencies, and enhance carrier management and performance across all carrier products. Your responsibilities:
- Develop innovative acquisition and sourcing strategies that align with both global and local Leased Lines business objectives.
- Challenge the status quo, build strong stakeholder relationships, and lead end-to-end value chain improvements.
- Directly negotiate with carriers to achieve significant value and savings for local markets.
- Ensure timely execution of negotiations and sourcing strategies to meet target outcomes.
- Provide critical inputs into Leased Lines business strategies, roadmaps, plans, and budgeting & forecasting processes.
- Lead the central negotiation of commercial terms and contracts with carriers, drive the centralization of Leased Lines spend, and spearhead consolidation and transformation activities.
- Innovate commercial and contracting models while ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
- Act as a recognized subject matter expert with Group functions, local markets, and external partners.
Who you are
- Global Sourcing Experience: Proven experience in sourcing, preferably at a global level.
- Industry Expertise: Experience in the telecommunications industry or a previous role at a major carrier.
- Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of sourcing and procurement disciplines with strong commercial and negotiation skills.
- Complex Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated success in negotiating complex multi-territory deals with clear benefits.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to think strategically and influence wider business strategies.
- Project Management: Solid program and project management skills with experience managing large-scale, multi-country, and multi-disciplinary projects, including operating model transformations.
- Collaborative Leadership: Proven track record of aligning stakeholders with diverse interests towards common goals.
- Effective Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing decision-makers at all levels.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and German is essential, additional languages are a plus.
- Educational Background or Experience: Business degree or similar qualification or proven experience in the field.
