What you’ll do

Join Vodafone on an exciting journey to revolutionize carrier buying on a global scale. We are seeking a dynamic leader to deliver substantial savings and spearhead ongoing cost management within our multibillion-euro spend portfolio. As part of our energetic team, you'll drive the execution of Vodafone’s global strategy for acquiring and procuring leased lines, fixed line access, and wholesale line rental. You’ll build close, valuable relationships with both Group and local partners, create efficiencies, and enhance carrier management and performance across all carrier products. Your responsibilities: 

• Develop innovative acquisition and sourcing strategies that align with both global and local Leased Lines business objectives.
• Challenge the status quo, build strong stakeholder relationships, and lead end-to-end value chain improvements.
• Directly negotiate with carriers to achieve significant value and savings for local markets.
• Ensure timely execution of negotiations and sourcing strategies to meet target outcomes.
• Provide critical inputs into Leased Lines business strategies, roadmaps, plans, and budgeting & forecasting processes.
• Lead the central negotiation of commercial terms and contracts with carriers, drive the centralization of Leased Lines spend, and spearhead consolidation and transformation activities.
• Innovate commercial and contracting models while ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
• Act as a recognized subject matter expert with Group functions, local markets, and external partners.

Who you are

• Global Sourcing Experience: Proven track record in sourcing at a global scale, including vendor identification, evaluation, and onboarding across multiple regions. Experience managing international supplier relationships and navigating cross-border procurement complexities.
• Industry Expertise: Strong background in the telecommunications sector, ideally with experience at a major carrier or service provider. Familiarity with telecom infrastructure components, including leased lines, fiber networks, and data transport services.
• Knowledge of Leased Lines: In-depth understanding of leased line technologies, provisioning processes, SLAs, and cost structures. Ability to assess supplier capabilities, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance with technical and commercial requirements for leased line services.
• Commercial Acumen: Expertise in sourcing and procurement disciplines, including cost modeling, contract structuring, and supplier performance management. Skilled in identifying commercial levers and driving value through strategic negotiations.
• Complex Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated success in leading complex, multi-territory negotiations that deliver measurable business benefits. Ability to manage competing priorities and align diverse stakeholder interests in high-stakes environments.
• Strategic Vision: Capability to think beyond immediate sourcing needs and contribute to broader business strategy. Experience in shaping sourcing roadmaps that support long-term growth, innovation, and operational efficiency.
• Project Management: Strong program and project management skills, with a history of delivering large-scale, multi-country, and cross-functional initiatives. Experience in operating model transformations and change management is highly desirable.
• Collaborative Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across business units. Skilled in building consensus and driving alignment toward shared goals.
• Effective Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Able to convey complex sourcing strategies to senior leadership and influence decision-making at all levels.
• Educational Background or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Telecommunications, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience in sourcing or procurement within the telecom industry is also acceptable.
