We are seeking a highly skilled Voice and 5G Core Innovation Architect to join our team. This role entails defining the strategy and architecture for innovative IMS-based services involving IMS Data Channels, WebRTC, and Core APIs, as well as critical Core Platforms such as Customer Databases and Signaling functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for vendor selection, roadmap definition and management for deployed systems, and benchmarking vendors against Vodafone requirements. Additionally, the candidate will provide architectural guidance to Vodafone markets, ensuring solutions evolve to meet future needs and enable new services. Alignment with Vodafone's Cloud strategy and ensuring vendor solutions support operational agility and automation are also key aspects of this role, aimed at delivering optimized costs, improved flexibility, and reduced time-to-market.

 

What you bring: 
 

  • Solid technical experience on: Core network (components and architecture) and IMS-based services
  • Specific knowledge in the area of IMS Core, Customer Data Base, Signalling protocols.
  • General competence/background: in telecommunications (technologies and services) and IT technologies (e.g. microservices architecture, databases etc)
  • Ideally: competence in cloud technologies and cloud native solutions such as containers.
  • Advanced level of English
