What you’ll do
Role Purpose:
As Network and SW Engineer:
-
- You will take care of the SW supporting the required IMS products and solutions
- he/she will write SW development requirements and specifications,
- he/she will do SW design, implementation, test and deploy of those IMS services and solutions according to those requirements and specifications
- he/she will ensure HW and SW performance, monitoring, and reporting, using dedicated SW tools to assure traffic needs capacity
- You will manage IMS Services technology evolution and capacity planning based on traffic needs.
- You will manage LCM and Security for IMS services and solutions
- You will take care of the SW supporting the required IMS products and solutions
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Accountable for writing SW development requirements, specifications, design SW integration plans and perform SW testing for the required products and solutions for IMS.
- Accountable for designing, implementing, testing and deploying SW and HW requirements for the required IMS services and solutions to cope with specific commercial requirements or technology evolution inside Vodafone.
- Accountable for managing IMS Services technology evolution and capacity planning based on traffic needs. Ensure HW and SW performance, monitoring, and reporting, using dedicated SW tools.
- Manage RFQ and vendor selection to identify the best partner for the evolution of IMS service including the option of internal SW development.
- Manage LCM and Security
Who you are
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Proficient with designing and deploying solutions in cloud environments
- Familiar in IMS Networks.
- Awareness of wider technology aspects in telecommunications (Core Network, Value Added Services, ...) and ICT
- Understanding of network architectural Patterns & Design, aligning architecture with business goals.
- Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to align architecture with business goals.
- Familiarity embedding security and compliance into architectural decision
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Telco Engineering, or a related field
- SW Engineering and Cloud Architecture Proficiency
- Agile and Application life cycle management methodologies
- DevOps and CI/CD Expertise
- Security and Compliance Knowledge
- Awareness of technology aspects in IMS
- Understanding of network Architecture Patterns
- Excellent Communication and Leadership Skills
