The Vodafone Business Products are evolving and transforming at a rapid pace. To continue Vodafone’s leadership position, and to drive the transformation further, Vodafone Group Technology has identified the need to establish and grow its strength in Digital Services.
The VBPS PPE function are building a Next Generation Assurance & Orchestration Platform to support our IoT, UC, Mobile Private Network and Fixed Connectivity Products.

The role of the Senior Product Owner is to:


  • Work alongside the Release Train Engineer (RTE), leading on Programme Increment (PI) planning and representing the Release train at required governance meetings
  • Interface into the Product Development teams, to define their requested features, ensuring clarity on scope, acceptance criteria and quality for the development squads to then deliver
  • Negotiate, manage and agree demand, prioritise the backlog of new product development, enabling capabilities, innovation and lifecycle
  • Provide technical leadership to the agile release train, owning high impact or complex technical risks and issues 
  • Ensure that the delivered solution meets the requirements and is aligned to Domain Architects vision

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:


  • Own and prioritise the backlog through key stakeholder collaboration and alignment with business priorities to balance the competing needs of new product development, innovation, lifecycle and transformation
  • Create the development features required to deliver the capabilities, through collaboration with the development squads, ensuring quality scope and acceptance criteria to enable to squads to write their user stories and tasks.
  • Work alongside the RTE lead the platform PI planning process
  • Own and manage the Assurance & Orchestration Platform roadmap for your assigned product inputting into the technology planning process detailing enabling features and KTLO to deliver your platform vision.
  • Represent the Platform ART at ‘Product’ Portfolio Planning and Sync meetings, inputting as required, owning issues and completing new impact assessments 


What you bring: 


  • Agile/SAFE delivery methodology.
  • Business Products such as SD WAN, UC, IoT and MPN
  • Technical knowledge of Microservices
  • Key API protocols such REST & TMF
  • Business process (BPM) automation framework  eTOM, Experience on Camunda or equivalent workflow and decision automation platform.
