What you’ll do

 

Role purpose: 

Support 2nd Line Operations for OSS tools in a multi-vendor environment. Responsible for preventive and corrective troubleshooting, ensuring service quality and continuity for OSS applications . Collaborate with Engineering and 1st Line Operations to develop procedures for alarm analysis and fault elimination. Assist with data configuration, software rollout, and integration activities.

 

Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 

  • Administer provisioning and monitoring platforms, plus critical OSS applications.
  • Troubleshoot faults and implement corrective actions, engaging with 3rd party support as needed.
  • Perform daily monitoring and health checks; contribute to incident detection and system optimization.
  • Participate in projects, process improvements, and configuration verification.
  • Interact with technical staff, NOC engineers, and other Service Delivery teams. Strong knowledge of Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes (INM, PRM, SRM).
  • Confident handling of ticket systems and auto-routing.

Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Ability to create technical instructions/procedures and provide 2nd level support for OSS applications. 
  • Knowledge of Linux OS, application/database administration, and telecom protocols.
  • Support service request fulfillment and system/software rollouts.
  • Exposure to virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere/ESX, Microsoft Azure).
  • Teamwork orientation; proficient English (spoken/written).
  • Applying ITIL-aligned operational practices including role/access management, adherence to security, change, and release standards, as well as maintaining accurate documentation (KEDB, inventories, operational guides, and workarounds) to ensure compliance, continuity, and controlled service operations.
  • Ensuring effective service delivery through proactive monitoring and reporting, clear communication with stakeholders and partners, and coordinated escalation processes to maintain SLA performance and quickly resolve incidents.

 

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

  • University degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, IT, or Computer Science.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in server/application operations and maintenance.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with Linux OS and database operations.
  • Willingness to learn programming/scripting languages (experience is a plus).
