Role Purpose

We are looking for Cloud Solutions Architects with various level of expertise, responsible for specifying and designing solutions based on their technical expertise across cloud technology domains. 

She/He will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, designing cloud solutions, delivering technical presentations, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful pre-sales engagements.
She/He will stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in cloud computing. Continuously enhance technical knowledge and expertise to effectively educate customers about the benefits of cloud services and emerging technologies
The ideal candidate has strong technical skills and is able to apply them in a complex context to perform assessments and define solutions to satisfy the Vodafone Customers needs.


Key accountabilities and decision ownership

•    Assist sales specialists with pre-sales and solution architect engagements, technically qualify cloud and hosting opportunities, align opportunity to Vodafone product or Azure Public Cloud portfolio and define design resourcing estimates.
•    Engage with customer to develop, understand & document customer requirements. Understand the customer’s business requirements and drivers and create compelling proposal and bid material.
•    Support the sales team for Private and Public complex tender.
•    Provide a single point of contact for business and customer during design phase 
•    Scouting of technological cloud solutions 

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

•    Strong infrastructure design experience with knowledge in all or some of the following areas of expertise: Virtualization (VMware), Storage, Disaster Recovery, back up, SAP-Hana infrastructures, Public Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure,), Containers and PaaS Services.  Proven track record of delivering successful IT architecture designs.
•    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proven ability to produce quality documentation for high level design work and bid material.
•    Experience of operating in an ITIL environment, with a good understanding of general business principles and practices to include an understanding of business economics, customer markets and operating environments.
•    Experience of operating with a track record in identifying, influencing and negotiating with key decision makers.
•    Self-motivated, team player with drive to improve group function and skills

Must have technical / professional qualifications

•    2 - 10 years (or more) work experience in an IT/Managed Hosting/Cloud discipline
•    Proven experience in designing solutions incorporating Public Cloud and virtualised infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solution
•    Professional Certifications in virtualization, security, cloud related discipline advantageous. 
•    Professional Certifications and in-depth knowledge about Azure are preferred
