The rise of industry 4.0 has seen today’s manufacturing market companies take significant steps towards becoming ‘smart factories’ by embracing innovation through new, disruptive and cutting-edge technologies. To help our customers in this sector not only face their challenges but also create entirely new business models, in 2021 we have created Vodafone Industrial Connect the end to end solution for digitization of Industry processes and 5G Assisted Maintenance in AR, the first Italian AR application through 5G, that thanks to high definition and low latency video call with Augmented Reality, provides remote expert support to the maintenance technician in the field
Dealing with transformative business models we need to take in count also at Logistics vertical which is a vital part of any business model; it is the control of the flow and storage of goods into and out of a business. Smart Logistics, the solution that we are currently developing, will meet customer demand and providing superior service in the area of good logistics management. 
To continue and expand the journey we’re looking for a Portfolio Owner Manufacturing and Logistics.
 

Role Purpose Portfolio Owner Manufacturing and Logistics:

This role is specifically focused on developing Manufacturing and Logistics portfolio for Vodafone Business Italy, working in partnership with the line of business in Vodafone Group, the Technology functions and the overall product management organisation. This will be achieved by identifying innovative solution, designing the product, bringing to market, and then managing in-life, the portfolio of Manufacturing and Logistics vertical. The role-holder will own and be fully accountable for all aspects of the performance (sales, customer satisfaction) of these products within Italy. He/she will have the leadership and driving force within Vodafone sales, marketing, technology departments and with external partners, to ensure these targets are met and to contribute in Vodafone’s positioning as a key stakeholder into the Manufacturing and Logistics vertical. 

Success will be measured against the delivery of new products, services, revenue, profit and customer satisfaction for all customers managed by Vodafone Business division.

 

Key Accountabilities And Decision Ownership:

  • Fully accountable for delivery of product revenue, profit and product-related customer satisfaction;
  • Own, define, document and agree, with key stakeholders, a product plan that identifies the market landscape, product scope and performance, objectives and strategy, the customer experience, growth plan and roadmap for Italy that works within the context of the global portfolio;
  • Create and own market requirements specifications and business cases for the product (s). Responsible for taking services through the Group and Italian Gating process;
  • Accountable for product lifecycle management. This includes product performance management, maintaining high calibre product collateral and training materials, product marketing and PR activities, product innovation and rationalisation;
  • Managing key stakeholders in Vodafone Italy (Segment Marketing and Sales, IT Technology) and Vodafone Group;
  • Accountable for product-related costs (capex and opex) and their impact on competitiveness. 

 

Core Competencies, Knowledge And Experience:
•    5 years+ relevant professional experience, with a focus on Product Lead management, Manufacturing and Logistics innovation
•    Team management 
•    Fluent English;
•    Proactive individual, successful leader, who has demonstrated to be able to work within virtual teams across national or international boundaries;
•    Deep insight into and significant experience of product lifecycle and product development processes;
•    Broad knowledge of enterprise requirements/challenges within domestic and international markets, infrastructure technologies, commercials and operations;
•    Ability to produce and secure buy-in and sign off to product plans and business cases & manage complex stakeholder audience;
•    Strong communications skills, comfortable interfacing with different audiences of varied levels of seniority.


Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications:
•    Graduated (Engineering or Computer Science)
