Cloud and SDN Solution Architect (m/w/d)

As Cloud and SDN solution architect in Cloud Solutions, Orchestration and Intelligence team we expect you to run cloud solutions design  for all the European Markets including MPN and Edge, in accordance with Vodafone strategy and focused on Virtual/Containerized Network Functions (VFN) and SDN needs
 

 
What you can expect: 

  • As "Cloud and SDN Solution Architect" (m/f/d) and member of the Cloud Solution team, the focus from solution design and best practices will be the virtualization and cloud native platforms overall (e.g. VMWare Telco Cloud Platform components, namely: vCloud Director, vSphere, vRealize products, NSX-T, etc.).
  • You will manage the hadware an software lifecycle as well as the infrastructure in general (hypervisor, computing, storage, Networking - physical or virtual).
  • You develop a design for infrastructure solutions based on the technologies mentioned above, considering efficiency, security, resiliency and automation, aligned with the peculiarities of NFV workloads (low latency, high throughput and resilience). 
  • You support on RFQs, definition of reference architectures, PoCs and FOAs to assure harmonization for all European markets and by ensuring new Infrastructure capabilities evolution design. 
  • You engage with the different stakeholders (internal and external) as NVI expert, to assure NVI evolution (and adoption) aligned with Vodafone Strategy. 
  • You will run business cases to support NVI evolution. 

 
What distinguishes you: 

  • A qualified university degree and several years of professional experience in telecommunication or IT. 
  • Good knowledge of data center infrastructure, cloud computing and virtualization architectures (IT and Telco). 
  • A strong focus on engineering and architecture of NFV/SDN solutions are preferred. 
  • You have strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills (in English). 
  • You are characterized by a customer-oriented and systematic way of working. 
  • Ability to work across multi-functional and cultural boundaries to deliver results and change.
