Location: London/Newbury + Hybrid
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri

What you’ll do

 

The Commercial Contract Management (CCM) team performs end to end commercial management of our Vodafone Business UK customers throughout all stages of the contract lifecycle. With this role, we require someone who has extensive experience focusing on Pre-sales, so we’d love to hear all about the great examples of success and experience you have within this area. 

 

As a CCM you will have the opportunity to be at the front and centre of the relationship with existing and prospective Vodafone Business customers in the UK. This means we’ll be looking for someone who can network and influence using external perspectives. The role also requires you to work collaboratively with many different areas of the business including Sales, Product, Solution, Legal, Finance and Technology. You’ll be providing commercial thought leadership and decision making to these areas, alongside working directly with our customers and suppliers.

 

To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to understand and build a variety of complex commercial and contractual models – financial P&L’s/cashflow models, excel modelling skills and data manipulation. You’ll be required to use data and appropriate assumptions to make informed decisions, negotiate pragmatically at all levels, whilst identifying and creating value from challenging commercial issues. Being able to shape deals, negotiate commercial schedules and understand general legal terms and impact to commercials is key.

Who you are

 

To be considered for the role, you must have:

 

  • Working experience in a Commercial Contract Management position or similar position. 
  • Previous experience of partnering with Sales teams to assist on Sales/Bid methodology to shape and construct deals. 
  • Demonstrable experience of commercial modelling of complex bids including Public & Private sector Frameworks/ RFPs/ ITTs.
  • Previous experience in Pre-sales bid activity, including deal shaping and risk management.
  • Demonstrable skillset in planning and executing complex negotiations, with an ability to find pragmatic solutions; whether to resolve commercial disputes; close deals; or deliver margin improvement activities.
  • Ability to collaborate with and provide commercial thought leadership to a wide range of stakeholders from different business areas and have the credibility to influence decision makers at all levels.
  • Can evaluate commercial risk and provide appropriate mitigation through commercial terms, contract conditions or delivery methodology.

 

We’d also love to see the following:

 

  • Understanding of Tech/Telco service offerings such as: 5G, Cloud, SaaS, NaaS, SDN and IoT.
  • Proactive in supporting/leading process simplification.
  • A solid understanding of Telco Pricing and relating products.
  • Growth mindset, open to taking on new challenges and identifying and implementing business improvement activities.
