What you’ll do
The Commercial Finance Manager in the UK Business Finance team is responsible for financial control, management, and planning of the Capex budget for the Enterprise Business Unit acting as key support to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager for month end, forecasting, and financial & business performance reviews. Key accountabilities include:
- Capex Governance and Control: To control Vodafone Business Capex spend with clear and efficient processes that supports key business stakeholders. Responsible for ensuring overall capex spend is within agreed budget, ensuring the right controls are in place, and projects are closed in a timely manner. Responsible for day-to-day management of Capex project funding and stakeholder management on all Capex related queries
- Financial Analysis & Insight: On a monthly basis, key insight will be provided to the business, which explains current performance and identifies any potential risk & opportunity in a rolling outlook. Role should also ensure key KPI’s are fully understood.
- Financial Planning: In this role, the Commercial Finance Manager will take the lead on the Capex financial planning activities including creating and maintaining detailed driver-based models, and ensuring they are aligned to Sales segment plans
- Data consolidation and reporting: The role requires an ability to collect and consolidate data in an efficient and structured way and provide insightful reporting that can be used in performance reviews and forecasting cycles
- Finance Alignment with Technology Finance: Collaborate with Technology Finance to ensure Vodafone Business capex is accurately recorded in all budget and forecast submissions and share insights on Vodafone Business performance
- Business Collaboration: The success of this role is dependent on strong collaboration across multiple teams. A strong individual will ensure the multiple functions are aligned on their objectives and ensuring they are all working together. This role consistently requires information and output from Business Finance, Fin Ops, FP&A, Technology Finance, Networks, VBTS and project managers
Who you are
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified or with considerable depth of experience in Finance/Commercial analysis.
- Collaborative approach coupled with the ability to challenge to achieve the right results.
- Financial planning and analysis experience
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills to ensure high levels of engagement.
