Cyber Security Project Manager
Location: Newbury + *Hybrid
Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri

What you’ll do
The Senior Project Manager will have complete end to end delivery responsibility from inception scoping and building case preparation through design, build and test before overseeing deployment and handover to operations. All projects are delivered through a formal governance process following a Vodafone Project Delivery Lifecycle, however the delivery model may vary between Waterfall and Agile methodologies as Cyber Security are currently driving the adoption of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) across our delivery programmes.
Projects will vary in complexity and will require a good understanding of internal infrastructure and delivery processes. Ideally you will have experience of delivering Cyber Security controls and platforms including Firewall & Proxy Management, Access Management, Logging and Monitoring, IPS, WAF, Vulnerability Scanning, Patching, Asset Management etc.
As a Senior Project Manager you will be expected to provide a level of coaching assistance to other members of the team and including any graduates who may be assigned to the Cyber Prevent team.
Main responsibilities:
- Initiating and helping to shape large work streams and projects , engaging with all stakeholders at the appropriate level
- Ensuring the delivery of agreed project deliverables to plan and within budget
- All core Project Management activities including project planning, risk management, change management, financial governance, stakeholder and supplier management
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all team members, line managers, members of the Tech Security Leadership Team and colleagues across Tech Security.
- Engage closely with Cyber Assurance team to confirm CSB scope, timelines and collate / validate evidences for submission to Central Assurance
- Engaging with and managing appropriately all 3rd party suppliers and contractors.
- Contribute to dashboard reporting and status updates in relation to Project Delivery milestones and agreed KPI’s.
- Raise Risks & Issues for the Programme / Portfolio / Projects as appropriate
- Contribute to the analysis and tracking of progress against all KPI’s
- Contribute to the development, maintenance and assurance of a Long Range Plan / Pipeline of viable projects based on robust cost/benefit analysis.
- Understand the impact of de-scoped / deferred project deliverables and factor into the Technology Security Strategy or Corporate Risk Register
Who you are
- Proven experience of delivering major technology projects and programmes with budgets in excess of £1m
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to operate with a high degree of autonomy, flexibility and self-organisation
- Have the ability to resolve conflict and manage challenging situations
- The ability to be an effective team player
- Strategy & Planning skills
- Prince 2, APM, SAFe or other equivalent qualification
- Experience in the technology, security or telecommunications industry
- Ability to direct and lead teams across multi-functional boundaries
- Financial planning and budget management
