Data & Analytics Manager
Location: Newbury or London (Hybrid)

Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri

What you’ll do
Within UK D&A we are committed to leveraging data-driven insights to enhance decision-making and drive business growth as part of the Data Strategy. We are dedicated to innovation and excellence, in shaping the future of our Team.
As part of our dynamic team, we are seeking a talented Data & Analytics Manager responsible for partnering with business for all D&A related data products & reporting services delivered within Vodafone UK.
Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Commercial and Stakeholder Leadership: You will work with various business units like Trading, Product, Base Marketing, and Finance to gather business requirements, set priorities, and define the delivery roadmap, with a view to creating technical solutions by way of test strategy, technical implementation and technical sign-off.
- Agile Leadership: As the Product Owner, you will align business priorities with D&A capacity, by way of managing the outcomes of activities across a cross-functional team consisting of both offshore and onshore SMEs.
- Technical Leadership: This role requires a comprehensive understanding of database design, data modelling, and data warehousing to ensure the delivery of high-quality data products that meet customer needs. The individual is expected to collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of data products and alignment with the Vodafone UK Data Strategy.
- Strategic Leadership: You will apply the long-term data strategy to squad activities based on the commercial outcomes the business partner wants to achieve.
Who you are
- Commercial mind-set and proven ability of capture, analyse and organise large volumes of demand and visualising and communicating data models to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven communication skills with a track record of managing stakeholders’ expectations and driving projects with the resilience of removing blockers and ambition to deliver in high quality.
- Ability to identify opportunities, translate complex data into actionable insights and to challenge senior managers where appropriate to support key decision-making.
- Experienced in BI tools, SQL and data warehousing solutions such as MicroStrategy/Teradata/Qlik /GCP/Oracle.
- Experienced in requirements analysis, data architecture & design, testing and validation of data quality.
- People leadership experience & good people management skills with experience of creating and managing effective teams. Agile/Product Owner experience preferred.
