About this role

 

Location: Newbury or London - Hybrid 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Corporate Functions Director’s Office in VOIS, a service tower comprised of over 3000 people working across a broad range of services in Finance, HR, Data Analytics and Security. This role is pivotal in supporting internal governance methodologies, engaging with senior stakeholders, and driving strategic initiatives across Finance, HR, Data Analytics, and Security. Based in London or Newbury, the successful candidate will contribute to governance frameworks, data quality improvements, and project management, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and compliance standards.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with the Business Manager team on strategic projects working with the directors office, offering consultancy and end-to-end project management.
  • Establish and manage the reporting and planning framework for the People stream within the Director’s Office, covering live events, external speaking engagements, award nominations, video updates, newsletters, and associated communication channels.
  • Monitor and assess governance risks, escalating issues and recommending mitigation strategies where necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed governance principles into business processes and decision-making.
  • Monitor and assess data quality, identify gaps, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Translate business needs into data insights that support strategic decision-making
  • Develop, implement, and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
  • Continuously assess how the Director’s time is allocated and provide actionable recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Track and report on governance metrics, producing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Who you are

 

  • A detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Experienced in project management; certification is an advantage.
  • Skilled in breaking down complex problems into manageable solutions.
  • Knowledgeable in governance frameworks, risk management, and compliance.
  • Comfortable working across teams and time zones, with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proactive in identifying gaps and driving improvements.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint, with experience in automating reporting and processes.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.
