What you'll do
EVO, short for Erp VOdafone, is one of the largest single instance SAP systems globally. It integrates S4 and SaaS solutions, offering a comprehensive ERP platform for Vodafone. EVO is about to transition to RISE with SAP, enhancing its capabilities and streamlining operations. This move reflects Vodafone's commitment to leveraging advanced technology for greater efficiency and innovation.
The EVO Core Platform Lead role will fulfil a key management position within EVO Governance & Strategy responsible for leading strategy & governance for the EVO Core platform.
The EVO Core Platform Lead must have strong finance management skills and extensive finance systems and process experience, with a good overall understanding of business operations. Organisational strengths, problem-solving abilities and people and leadership skills are equally as important.
The role requires strong communication and stakeholder management ability, influencing key decision makers at multiple organisational levels is a key part of the role. A recognised accountancy qualification and extensive experience with SAP FICO are a must, whilst project management skills are very useful. Ideally the EVO Core Platform Lead should have some knowledge of Vodafone’s Financial processes.
The EVO Core Platform Lead may be required to travel occasionally.
- Define and own the strategic vision for the SAP ERP Core Platform, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Establish and enforce governance frameworks to monitor platform performance, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between executive leadership, IT, and Finance teams for all matters related to the SAP ERP core platform.
- Lead large-scale EVO CORE (SAP) projects and initiatives, from strategy through execution, to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
- Drive the roadmap for EVO CORE (SAP) functionality, including enhancements, upgrades, and integrations with other business systems.
- Own delivery of all initiatives under the portfolio from identification to closure and handover to BAU (Business as Usual).
- Champion Agile mindsets, practices, and strategies to integrate Waterfall, Agile, Lean, and SAFe principles into Lean Portfolio Management.
Who you are
- Process Design, Expertise and Management in Finance process areas ( P2P, Intercompany, Record to Report, Treasury & Cash Management, T&E, Order to Cash)
- Ability to manage and communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders from Director level to process operators
- Experience in managing broad, multicultural change programs.
- Ability to manage individuals with conflicting opinions, priorities, and expectations
- Ability to understand and communicate the interactions between business requirements and system solutions.
- Recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA or CA)
- SAP FICO
- Project Management Skills (Prince 2, PMBOK, PMI etc)
- Cloud & ERP Systems knowledge
