Location: Newbury/London/Stoke + Hybrid

What you’ll do
- Manage relevant frameworks, controls, and best practices within Digital & IT, ensuring key changes and information are appropriately cascaded through the Value Authorities, supporting our Portfolios and Programmes.
- Lead a high-performing PMO team focused on the successful delivery of projects and programmes within the accepted risk profile and to time, cost, and quality standards. Providing guidance, support, and coaching, and fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Accountable for controlling, assuring, and providing critical support services to a vast and diverse portfolio of projects and programmes, including but not limited to; financial management, RAID & RAID management and escalation and appropriate training, comms & engagement.
- Ensure portfolio change is delivered with quality via an appropriate assurance framework of standards and controls, identifying factors that may hinder the delivery of business value.
- Working with our Delivery Standards team to drive value realisation across the Digital & IT organisation, enabling a continuous and smooth flow of value & process improvement through the delivery lifecycle.
Who you are
- An experienced leader with a successful track record in operational or line management at a senior level.
- A background in PMO and/or a high level of competence in delivery methodology, governance, value delivery, planning, reporting, finance management, risk management, change management, and data integrity of project/programme information.
- Proficiency in budgeting, resource optimisation, risk management, financial reporting and strategic decision support continuous improvement for effective financial management.
- The ability to contextualize information, decisions, or actions within a specific environment. This means considering relevant factors such as culture, history, or industry trends, to make well-informed and appropriate decisions or recommendations.
- Exceptional reporting and analytical skills.
- Proficient understanding and practical application of SAFe concepts and principles
- Demonstrated strong cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
- Effective prioritisation skills to support the team in managing their time efficiently.
- Adept at identifying and analysing problems, generating and evaluating potential solutions, and implementing effective resolutions.
- Strong communicator of information, ideas, and expectations to individuals or groups, both verbally and in writing.
