What you’ll do
We're recruiting for a Lead Data Governance Manager to join our Finance Data Strategy CoE team here at Vodafone UK.
As a Lead Data Governance Manager, you will lead and champion the Vodafone UK data governance program within a federated ownership model. You will be responsible for establishing, operating, and continuously improving on a standardised framework including Data Ownership and Data Governance and Data Management Risk working to drive the UK Data Strategy to ensure Valuable, Trusted and Accessible data that is Owned and Governed. You will play a key role in assuring that UK Policies and Standards are in place and being adhered to whilst also overseeing the Data Management Risk landscape.
Wider responsibilities will also include, but will not be limited to:
- Develop and implement a standardised data governance framework that empowers individual Functions while promoting enterprise-wide consistency.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive data governance policies, standards, and procedures aligned with overall business and data strategies and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and maintain a central data ownership registry to track and manage data assets.
- Develop and implement a robust monitoring and enforcement plan to assure adherence to data related policies, standards and procedures.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data management risk framework for Vodafone UK to identify, assess and mitigate risks across all Functions.
Who you are
- Demonstrable background in data governance, having gained extensive knowledge of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices and their implementation.
- Ability to develop and implement data governance strategies that align with organisational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Proven expertise in driving cultural and behavioural change to promote data governance adoption across Functions.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with a clear track record of translating ideas and information to all levels of seniority.
- Builds relationships within and across departments with a collaborative and consultative mindset.
- Adept in the utilisation of the MS Office suite and data governance tools such as ‘Collibra’ would be beneficial.
