Role Purpose

The Data Centre consolidation team is leading the programme to consolidate the European satellite data centre’s to drive cost efficiency, simplification and CO2 reduction across Vodafone Group. As an active member of the team, the successful candidate will be working across Vodafone Group and the local markets to manage the programme workstreams required to deliver the programme strategy.

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with all Business Unit Executives and Senior Executives to drive the implementation of the DC Consolidation programme’s strategy.

 

  • Interface with all areas for the prioritisation, development, delivery of projects and resolve priority conflicts with all relevant Executive Heads and Managing Executives.
  • Analyse the DC consolidation project strategy and with various business units define the projects to deliver against the strategy. Ensure all projects are sufficiently resourced.
  • Organise virtual  teams to develop and execute various project deliverables and ensure achievement of all revenue objectives, Analyse each project’s detail with the respective project managers to ensure the objectives will be met and phased plans are put in place..
  • Manage delivery schedules for the projects to ensure timeous delivery and compliance with requirements., Managing change control procedures to ensure that key scope change are escalated, Ensure identified risks and issues are mitigated to ensure on-time delivery of products.

Who you are

  • Ability to relate Data Centre processes, IT and people/organisation to help provide solutions with a strong focus on the customer experience
  • Strong facilitation and negotiation skills, having worked within multi-disciplinary virtual teams, ideally in the telecoms or IT sector, providing complex solutions
  • Experience of platform, product and service rationalistion projects
  • Experience of supporting the development of data analysis and data mapping tools and techniques would be desirable.
