Role purpose:


As part of the VOIS Luxembourg & VGS Finance Services team, this role is driving and embedding the Finance Transformation and Digital Strategy for Group Services entities and acting as partner to respective stakeholders from Group Functions finance and business teams as well as the Group Reporting team. Also, this role is responsible for end2end accounting and compliance management of various group service entities including Vodafone Group Services Limited. These responsibilities include management of governance and statutory reporting requirements as well as the preparation of internal reporting and forecasts, system enhancements development – everything in close cooperation with various offshore VOIS Service Line teams, local Finance and Business teams as well as other Vodafone Group Functions. Furthermore, this role ensures compliance with Group standards and tax/legal/statutory requirements. This role is responsible to drive major transformations and process improvement programs in close cooperation with the VOIS Services lines. The role will also support the set-up of Finance Service support for new business areas as well as integrating new scope into Finance Services.

What you’ll do

 

  • Fully accountable for the financial accounting processes and procedures of Vodafone Group Services Limited and other group services entities.
  • Responsible for the integrity of all P&L and Balance Sheet accounts under IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Ensure analysis of details Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, commenting main facts and variances vs Budget/Forecast/Previous periods. 
  • Creates reporting and management information to the company’s senior management, and stakeholders such as Head of Finance Luxembourg & VGS, Responsible Finance Officers for each entity and the Group Reporting Director etc. as well as presenting finance updates for company board meetings.
  • Cash flow and Working Capital: Responsible to plan & report the working capital and cash flow targets for the VGS entities. Manages the forecast process in coordination with business and finance stakeholders, Group Reporting and Group Planning teams.
  • Driving major Finance Services transformation and process improvements programmes in close cooperation with other finance and business teams.
  • Acting as a partner to senior stakeholders managing new demand and Group & local transformation initiatives and closely coordinating with various impacted Service Lines.
  • Has responsibility for compliance with Finance SOX and Group controls for respective entities.
  • Managing the statutory audit process for all UK based group service entities.
  • End2end oversight of Finance Services Delivery in close collaboration with Service Line functions to ensure the delivery of Finance services meets agreed SLAs, KPIs, and quality benchmarks.
  • Driving and embedding the Finance Transformation and Digital Strategy for VGS and ensuring alignment with corporate goals and delivering measurable, impactful results. 
  • Cultivate a strategic, value-driven culture within the Finance Services team, emphasizing innovation, client satisfaction, and operational excellence. 

Who you are

 

  • University post graduate from Finance and Accounting, Business Administration, Economics + Certified Accountants.
  • 8+ years of working experience, in FinOps, FP&A and statutory audit, either by practical delivery or through oversight
  • Knowledge of IFRS and UK accounting standards.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Experience with tax and regulatory matters.
  • Experience with SAP FI, HFM and OneSource. 
  • Experience working in international organisations and within the telecommunications industry would be an advantage.
  • Very strong cooperation, coordination, communication and presentation skills. 
  • Analytical-minded, hardworking, innovative, adaptable, team player and leader with broad experience and understanding of performance management.
