As a Supply Chain Business Partner, you will be responsible for the execution of Vodafone IoT’s supply chain strategy to support business requirements and key projects, in accordance with relevant sourcing practices and policies. You will be part of a new function specific for IoT, managing existing supply relationships via Vodafone Procurement Company (VPC), direct with other Vodafone entities for existing and new services, and support future direct sourcing needs for IoT including critical supply arrangements for procurement and in-life contract management. 

 

In this role you will manage sourcing activities and drive the contract, price and terms negotiations, to deliver a competitive advantage and demonstrate value add whilst securing the delivery of projects, products and services across the areas in a timely manner, thus managing risk.

 

Please note this is a fixed-term contract (12 month) with Vodafone.

What you’ll do

  • Work in close collaboration with the Vodafone IoT Technology team to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities, reliability, and competitiveness. 
  • Work with the Vodafone Procurement Company to coordinate requirements and define sourcing strategies and activities for suppliers. 
  • Perform, conduct and support RFIs and RFPs to identify the right Products & Services to fulfil the IoT Roadmap with demand and sustainable business.
  • Manage and lead supplier commercial relationships including prices, terms and contracting, leveraging on the respective core teams. 
  • Lead contract negotiations with respective suppliers and deliver in a timely and quality manner e.g. contract management, contract amendments, project variation agreements. 
  • Control the implementation of and adherence to contracts. Draft new schedules and update existing contracts according to regulations or legislation in collaboration with legal, privacy, commercial and account teams.
  • Cross-functional owner and coordinator of relevant supplier on-boarding, engaging stakeholders to co-ordinate the interface with suppliers.
  • Lead escalations towards supplier topics and manage supplier performance, business risks, reporting and operational controls to track escalated issues to closure.
  • Act as a focal point for the IoT Technology team and ensure business needs are being represented and incorporated into procurement plans and execution.
  • Negotiations to deliver the best possible outcomes for cost, quality, delivery, and ensure interlock with business owners.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects combined with the drive to make decisions and finalise deals.
    Effective influencing and communication skills, with the ability to engage with virtual teams. 

Who you are

  • Professional procurement specialist with minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Excellent contract negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Cross-functional thinking and acting.
  • Sound understanding of Telco technology, products and supply.
  • Experience in procurement, Supply Chain Management and contract negotiations.
  • Global vendor management.
